Hero Arts Scramble on Flickr

Yesterday evening was another scramble at the Hero Arts Flickr group. I enjoy being part of that and to my big dismay I have missed the last two. For the people who are not familiar with this, the rules are:

you have 90 minutes to create a card,
you have to use at least one Hero Arts stamp or digi and
you have to upload your creation within those 90 minutes onto the flickr website.
Very straightforward. Give it a try next time!

Since 90 minutes is not that long I choose to go with watercolors - very forgiving technique....I stamped distress inks onto an acrylic bloc, misted it with water and pressed it onto watercolor paper. I then overstamped it with various plant stamps - all Hero arts. The second card I first clear embossed the poison ivy plant (it looks like one) before I did the other steps and doodled around the edges in the end. The sentiment is from an Impression Obsession set.

I hope you like it. Ah, I just remembered - Moxie Fab has a watercolor challenge going on - I will participate, why not...

I wish  you all an enjoyable weekend and thank you for all your support and nice comments. I just love reading them!

Huhu Cornelia!
Das sind endlich mal schöne Trauerkarten - auch für so einen Anlaß kann man gerne mal Farbe ins Spiel bringen. Toll!

Lovely cards, Cornelia! Wish I could have joined in on the fun but I've had limited access to Internet this weekend and can't get on Flickr at all. Looking forward to seeing everyone's cards. :-). I may have to try that water colour trick. Looks fun.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Some more Christmas Cards...

Hi Everyone, there still are some Christmas cards  I made awhile ago and have not yet posted.... This one I made for the  Runway Inspired Challenge . The inspiration photo is below. I found it a little tricky to make this into a Christmas card, but with the help  of Neat&Tangled stamps it worked....The stitched dies are by Simon Says. Added some Washi tape on top (the headdress) and silver glitter paper at the bottom (the floor and silver shoes) and voila a Christmas card! My second card I made with an iStencil, gold embossing paste, faux pearls, an enamel dot and lots of splatters. The stitched die I cut the Kraft panel with is by Simon Says. I love this stencil and stenciled cards are just so quick and easy to make. I used this one for several cards this year, on of which you can see HERE . http://www.istencils.com/store/products/22-00029 I am linking up this card with: Stamps and fun=Creativity - Christmas U...
