Joy Clair 5th Birthday Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am proud to be part of this wonderful event - the mega birthday hop from Joy Clair Stamps! Happy 5th Birthday Joy Clair!!!! A few years back I was part of their DT and I am so happy I got invited back for this hop. Perhaps you arrived from the talented Ceal Pritchett  Here are my cards: I used this set: Get Well Wishes  This set really is one of my all time favorite Joy Clair sets. Those little cats hanging on a clothe line are just too cute! I stamped them twice . colored them with water brush pens and added teh sentiment and the sun. A simple one-layer card. Here is my second card: Party Animals The Party animal set is absolutely hilarious! I made a mask for the cow and sponged the background. Colored the cows and stamped the sentiment. Voila - another one layer card! those cows partied too much...don't you think so? Now I hope you are going to have your own little party on this hop! Go, get a dr...

The Back Stories With Darnell and Cornelia - #8 Petey

Petey It was fortunate for Petey that Cassie’s mom was a romantic or he would have been tarred and feathered that day. Thankfully she understood that Petey was a good guy, even if he was a bit single-minded at times, often to the point of danger. On this particular sunny Saturday, Petey came calling, bringing a sweet bouquet of posies for Cassie. Her mom sent Petey to the backyard where Cassie was sunning herself by the pool. Just as Petey approached Cassie with his eyes zeroed in on her face, his foot caught on the edge of her towel. As Petey started falling, he grabbed the towel without thinking, sending Cassie somersaulting into the pool with him! Now here they were, drying themselves off on a line Cassie’s mom had put up for them. Petey, still clutching the posies, could feel the warm sun on his back. He shyly glanced over at Cassie, who was hanging so close to him there was a ripple of static betwee...

Joy Clair Stamps - 4th Anniversary Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am so honored to be part of Joy Clairs amazing 4th birthday celebration! I was on the Joy Clair DT for two years in the past and I was so happy to be invited back for their anniversary. Joy Clair has high quality clear stamps and some super cute sets. I picked my two favorites to make my cards. Now since this is a hop, perhaps you arrived from the talented Martha from StampArt Papel . Or you just happened to visit my blog.... Here is card #1: Aren't those kitties cute? I cut them twice with my brand new ScanNCut and glued them together with a string in between. Colored them and hung them into the die cut window. I used an MFT stencil to create the sky on the inside panel of my card. Added the sun on which I used a generous amount of Wink of Stella, although you can't see this in the picture. The stamp sets I used:    Get Well Wishes , Best Buds Card #2: For the second card I used a stitched circle die to cut the...

Muse: ChristmasVisions April

Hi Everyone, I finally had some time to play along at this month Muse Christmas Visions . We have Natasha Kara from I Dream in Color guest designing for us and she made this delightful little scene. Here is Natasha's card: You see how I got inspired: 3 things on my card, similar background, a stitched frame and some bling. The Santa gnome and cat are by Stampotique, the tree is Joy Clair, everything stitched is by CUTplorations and an embossing folder. Added lots of bling.  -This is just too much fun to let it pass by. Don't you think so? Come on and join in - there is still a few days left! Linking up with: Stampotique SDC271 - bling it on Jingle Belles - recycle  (the Stitched Snow Hills were left over from another project and the gnome and cat are from a watercolor panel that I didn't like, used the back side of it) Happy Little Stampers - emboss (snow embossing folder)

Hugs and Kisses

Hi Everyone, I am playing in the February challenge over at Joy Clair - shades of red is the requirement! Since Valentin's Day is coming up I decided to stick with that theme: I used on of my favorite Joy Clair stamp set for this card: Its called Hugs and Smiles I inked it up with various distress inks and spritzed it with water and stamped it into opposite corners. Took a piece of plastic and stamped the rest of the ink from my stamp on it, spritzed again and dabbed it in between my stamped images. Let it dry. Added the heat embossed sentiment and a die cut ampersand (Papertrey) as well as gold thread. Linking up with: Joy Clair - Shades of Red AAA Cards - Love The Paper Players - Valentine HLS watercolor challenge - used a little die Happy Smooshing and Spritzing!
