Almost Back..........

Hi Everyone, I am coming out of hiding really soon. I still have some vision problems, but it is slowly getting better. Yesterday I had another check-up and I do not need any more procedures on my eye. I had 4 so far and it was NOT fun, definitely NOT......Thanks to that, I also learned, that I will not hold up to torture. I'll admit to anything, whatever it was or not, I'll confess.  I want to thank all of you for your get well wishes, prayers and all those amazing, wonderful cards you sent me. Wow - I am so grateful for all the support and love you poured out to me. I am so touched.  Since its all good news I want to share this card with you, that I made a LONG time ago and it got published in the October issue of Craft Stamper Magazine! The theme was Arabian nights. The technique is heat embossing on vellum and colored with Copics. The peony stamp is by Stampendous and the sentiment is by STAMPlorations . The inspiration of this card came from the wonderful...

Papertrey and Muse

Hi Everyone, I am having two cards today. My first one I made for the Papertrey 8th year birthday celebration : All supplies are from Papertrey. I used the sketch and color scheme listed below. The sentiment is not black, but avocado. Not sure if it shows in the picture.... My second card I made for the Muse challenge . I missed the last two (too busy...) and I really wanted to play, especially since I was the lucky winner of their generous blog candy! Thank you again Muse ladies! I wanted to use my goodies, but it did not quite work for the card that Vicki made for us to be inspired.... here is my interpretation: Here is Vicki's fabulous Muse card:  All stamps are by STAMPlorations -   Sentiment Builders: Love  and  Distressed Damask Background . Added the ring of metallic paper and the punched  hearts I am also adding this card to: Cuttlebug Mania -  I {heart} you Dazzling Diva Challenge #61 - Matters of th...

ATSM Challenge #116

This is my second post today - for the Spotlight project click HERE  or scroll down. Hi Everyone - its challenge time at Addicted to Stamps and More ! And its everyone's favorite theme - Anything Goes. No theme, no limitations - let your inspiration soar!  I made a fun card for this challenge - I had a great time making it: I used the the STAMPlorations set  PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons  to make some fish. I just doodled their fins and gave them googly eyes....the background I made with a Tim Holtz stencil (dot fade) and masked the pentagons. For the sentiment I used the  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year   - it's so versatile, it does not limit you to the Holidays.        And here si our sponsor for this challenge:  Rick St. Dennis  The winner will get 3 digis. And here are my stamping supplies:  And one more look at my card - 'cause I like it that ...

STAMPlorations Sketch challenge #21

Hi Everyone, its sketch challenge time at STAMPlorations ! It's a fun one: And I did have fun with it, as you can see: I used the  PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons  for the cute little birds. The pentagons are a little tricky, as they resist pattern stamping - unlike hexagons, which are easy that way. But to make up for that you can use them to make fun little creatures - like my birds.......I just doodled their body parts and gave them googly eyes.... For the sentiment I used the  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year   - it's so versatile, it does not limit you to the Holidays. I heat embossed it in white.       The challenge  ends October 17; the winner will be announced October 19. Our wonderfully creative DT has beautiful cards to inspire you to play! Our guest designer this month is the amazingly talented  Elaine - if you don't know her you have to visit her blog and get to know her a b...

STAMPlorations and Brushos

Cornelia here today, playing again with Brushos - my new favorite "toy" I just love those colors! And Brushos are so easy to use. Here is my tutorial: I started out with water color paper, Versamark and that beautiful STAMPlorations Damask background stamp. I used mu embossing buddy first, to get clean embossing.  Her is a little trick I learned from Jennifer McGuire - on large stamps I put the paper on the stamp and then rub my fingers over the paper to get all the ink onto the paper rather than pressing the stamp onto the paper. You see that I did not even bother to remove the stamp from its plastic sheet.... I sprinkled it with white embossing powder - clear would probably work just as well, but my clear embossing powder is not as fine as my white one and I wanted all that detail.  I sprinkled various Brusho greens onto the paper, starting with turquoise at the top. The paper then looks like you added a little bit of pepper from...
