Muse Christmas Vision #44

Hi Everyone, I have been soooooo busy lately, but I wanted to play along in the current  Muse Christmas Vision , where Chris Blagrave  made a wonderfully soft Christmas card: You all know this is NOT my strong point, but I think I succeeded this time. I took my favorite little Christmas tree stamp and heat embossed it in white. then I took my sponge tool and sponged without inking up the sponge, just using whatever color was still on there - that's how you do soft, I guess... Added the sentiment (all tamps by STAMPlorations) and the bird (Memory box), which I kept white. and splatters - you gotta have splatters! Here is Chris' card: It's easy to see what elements I took Also linking up with: Memory Box May challenge - for the birds Sweet Stampin' Christmas - Winter Fun Simon Says Monday Challenge - emboss it CAS Mix-up - stamping and heat embossing So come on and play along! You are going to need those Christmas cards......

Stamp Connection #4

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our forth transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements : One Layer & Stencil just my thing - thanks Tanja! And here is my card: I bet Tanja did not think of Christmas when she suggested that theme - but who knows - I am curious! But to be honest, I did not think about it right away either - it just happened.....The truth of the matter is - I wanted to play in the One Layer Christmas card challenge - green is wanted there.  I used an iStencil for this card - its called Winter Striped Tree . Its such a beautiful stencil. I used two shades of green, but it dos not really show. Sprinkled Brushos on it and let it dry. Added the sent...

STAMPlorations August challenge - Stamps and Die-Cuts

Its challenge time again!  For the whole month of August we at STAMPlorations would like you to get out your dies and combine them with your stamps - we do that all the time anyhow, right? And since Christmas is coming soon......... ;) I pulled out my Christmas supplies for this card. I just love this STAMPlorations set - I got that a while ago, with Christmas far in the future. Finally time to use it! it is called  Oh, Christmas Tree! I first spritzed the card with Smooches spray and then stamped the trees in various shades of green. I added the sentiment. First I stamped it directly onto the card, but the green shone through and you could not read the sentiment very well. So I stamped it again onto white card stock, cut it out and glues it over the stamped one. Lastly I added the die cut - its from Memory Box. I doubled it up with thin cardboard to make it more stable and mounted it with foam tape. Put some Stickles on 3 of the stars. Our team ha...
