Season's Greetings with Purple Onion Designs

Hi Everyone, somehow my mojo went on vacation and there is no return date...I thought it might help not making DT cards and do one just for  the fun of it (but don't think I don't generally enjoy myself making DT cards, because I do!).  So I let myself be inspired by The Male Room challenge - the them is black and white. At this point I need more Christmas cards, so that's what I went for. I bought those super cute Purple Onion Designs stamps a long time ago and have not yet used them. So - here they are! The background I made with a MFT stencil.  Thanks for visiting. I hope you liked this! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: The Male Room - black and white Inkspirational - see photo below

Guest Designing for Retro Rubber #133

Hi Everyone, for the next two weeks I have the honor to guest design for the Retro Rubber Challenge . I love this challenge -it encourages you to use older stamps. Don't we all have them - old, loved, but underused....I have a full room of them, LOL! This  balloon girl  is especially pretty, which I have in my possession since 2016. The stencil I used is also a few years old, although I don't exactly remember how old. The sentiment is new, but at least 2/3's of my supplies are old - not even counting the inks I used.... The theme of this challenge is your favorite, I bet: It's mine for sure! I hope you will play along and give your old stamp some love!  See you at Retro Rubber . Happy Stamping! Day of the Month Card Club - Look for Circles Day

Hi Everyone, welcome our ninth  Day of the Month Card Club challenge ! This month we are celebrating the national  " Look for Circles Day "  For more detail on this day go visit our challenge blog. We also have a Guest Designer with us  - I am sure you all know her - it's Coni Longley from Which Craft? , who was voted winner in challenge #7. She is immensely creative and one of the best commentors I know. It's always a delight to read her comments, which she distributes generously on my blog and everyone else she follows! So uplifting!  Now here is my inspiration card: I didn't want you to look too hard for circles on my card, ha ha..... The circles I made with a MFT stencil. I did some die cutting with a MFT die and elevated the letters with fun foam.  Not too tedious to make and I love the way this looks. I am counting on you! You have until the end of the month (11/30) to do so. Please link up  ...

Katzelkraft meets iStencil

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog. I also wanted to play with some of my beloved iStencil, so I figured, I combine those two companies....  The background I made with a MFT stencil and added the bats and cityscape. I added the lightening stencil and used gold embossing paste. The frightened little person is from the  Sherlock Holmes set , see picture below. I colored him with Inktense and cut him out with my Scan 'N Cut. Sherlock Holmes KTZ211 iStencils: Cityscape ,  Flying Bats ,  Lightning That golden lightening strike is real scary! Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! If you feel the urge to buy any Katzelkraft products, you can also order them in the US from those companies:  Topflight Stamps ,  Lost Coast Designs , or  Frantic Stamper .  Use code  FUNSTAMPING  to get 12% discount at...

Stained Glass Technique

Hi Everyone, there is an interesting challenge at CAS Mix-up - its about the stained glass technique. It looks amazing, doesn't it. Although honestly I would change the name to pained glass technique. It's a pain in the you know where..... to put together. So you have been warned! LOL! But I persevered, although I wasn't quite sure why....I guess I know why. I knew it would look great in the end and be worth the effort - to send to somebody special, who appreciates it. As they have lots of tutorials over at the CAS Mix-up blog I spare you the details. The only difference on my card is that I used fun foam to build up the layers. Makes it a tad faster.... A detail shot for you to  see it better. The triangles are by Altenew . The background I made with a stencil by MFT (My Favorite Things). The sentiment is by Winnie & Walter. Geometric Corner

Hi Everyone, there are a couple of challenges that are just begging to be combined in one card - I have listed them below. I made this card with a stencil by My Favorite Things, animal stamps by Cats on Appletrees and the sentiment stamps are by Winnie & Walter . Added Washi tape at the bottom. The reds are all different, but almost look the same in the picture... I wish you a great day - you'll need it. It's Monday, after all.... Just Go For It with Katzelkraft

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog. I clearly did get inspired by the Library Challenge (see picture below) for this card. I basically "recreated" the cover.... My stamp supplies: Carpe Diem ,  Les Gros Chat #9 I made the background first with a MFT stencil on black paper. I sponged white gesso over the stencil and then added distress oxide inks once it was dry. I stamped the cat and used Inktense pencils for coloring. I die cut the window frame with MFT Dienamics dies. I used an Exacto knife to cut the paws and slid the frame under the paws. Stamped the sentiment and used Inktense pencils to match up my window color. Added a thin strip of glitter paper. If you feel the urge to buy any Katzelkraft products, you can also order them in the US from those companies:  Lost Coast Designs ,  Topflight Stamps  or  Frantic Stamper  Happy Stamping! Twofer Card Challenge #8

HI Everyone, of course I had to play along with the current Twofer challenge . the theme is geometric - how could I not???? I did use a MFT stencil for this - turned out to actually be not allowed.....bummer. But I had a sneaking suspicion about this, so I made myself those tiny triangular stamps...... so forget the stencil  - I did use the same stamp on both cards ;) Look, here it is:  I don't think there is a size requirement for the stamps...perhaps I should read the FAQ's???? So I happily stenciled on both cards, as you can see. The happy birthday on the first card is by Neat&Tangled, the die cut thanks is by CUTplorations. Added my tiny stamps. That was so much fun to make! I also cut two of the triangles on the first card - the bright blue and yellow ones and mounted them with foam tape for some dimension. The bright pink triangles on the second card I simply masked. I die cut the thanks twice - with black fun foam and neon ...
