Woodblock Wednesday #1

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the Woodblock Wednesday challenge that Amy Tsuruta is starting over at Instagram. She also has a linky list on her blog. I have sooooo many neglected wood stamps, that are desperate for some ink. Since I am sure I don't have enough Christmas cards AGAIN.... I decided on making one more.  this was quite easy. The cat is by Rubber Soul, the tree is Hero Arts, the ornament A Muse stamps and the sentiment I have no idea. I did a little bit of coloring with markers and  white paint. Added Stickles to the tree, because everything is better with a bit of glitter! The bottom I doodled (inspired by Sandy Allnock) Happy Woodblock Stamping! Linking up with: Amy Tsuruta Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Monday challenge  -    Christmas Addicted to Stamps and More  - make your mark

Paper Pieced masculine card with Flames

Before I get to today's card I want to say HELLO and WELCOME to my two new members IZOLDA and  BRANDI Both have fantastic blogs that I have linked, feel free to check them out! All my new members get a welcome picture - usually some piece of art I really like and hope you enjoy it, too. This picture I took in the NY City subway. You really have to pay attention to see them - they are quite small. I also want to thank everybody who continues to visit my little blog and leaves me comments. It is so uplifting to read them and they motivate me making cards. You make my day! --X-- Yesterday it was gorgeous - sunny and pleasant. I had the day off work and took the change to go skiing - probably the last time this very short season. Today its dreadful outside - wet, co...

Color Throwdown 2

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE! We had a great dinner last night at friends of ours with loads of delicious food and lots of fun! I decides to skip breakfast today, because I am still not hungry and then we have some more celebrating to do at my in-laws. My daughter came home last night - she will join us today, yeah! I LOVE  those  colors at the  Color Throwdown challenge , and here is my second take on it: The tree stamp is from Outlines stamps - sadly went out of business, the sentiment is Hero Arts. Embellished with Stickles and Perfect Pearls, the punched out star is from Michaels

Second Chances and Color Throwdown

I thought long about this A Blog named Hero  challenge and managed at the last minute to come up with something. I usually rather create something new, instead of rehashing.....And I am not sure, if I like my new card better. But here they are: THE NEW: THE OLD: Of course, to be efficient I made this to fit this  The Color Throwdown challenge Stamps are from Hero Arts, except the large dot, which is from A Muse
