See you in the FB Lounge! Happy Rubber Dancing!

Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps - Love and Happiness

Hi Everybody, a few of my card friends have shown some alcohol ink cards and this inspired me to get mine out again and play. My stamp supplies:  Olesya Side Bloom ,  Olesya Bloom , Love and happiness Forgive me for not having pictures of the process, but it is impossible to make an alcohol ink background and take pictures while you doing it. I like to wet my paper with blending solution - or even better 99% isopropyl alcohol, which only costs a fraction of the blending solution. I drip alcohol ink on it and use my heat tool to move the ink around and dry it. I took a regular brush and flicked clear alcohol onto the card, which gives you those little light colored bubbles. I took the bloom stamps and heat embossed them. If you use Yupo paper you have to be real careful, because it warps easily. The "paper" I used is Grafix opaque white craft plastic  - a present from my blogging friend Aileen Ryan from Colour and Sparkle . THANK YOU Aileen - that st...

STAMPlorations Inspiration #226

Hi Everyone, its inspiration time at  STAMPlorations ! My stamp supplies: Happy Flowers stencil , Birthday die I made an alcohol ink background on Kraft Plastic - similar to Yupo paper. I took some foil and pressed it onto the little sticky areas. The foil sticks to this. You will see this better in the obliqued image. Took the stencil and laid it on the background. Took clear alcohol to dab off the open areas of the stencil - it removes the ink and leaves you with the negative picture. I took a thin Sharpie and outlined the stencil. Added the birthday die and the heat embossed wishes. Use  code STAMPGIRLCORNELIA to get 20% off on all stamps, stencils, and dies on all regular- and sale-priced items in the store. Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps with Alcohol Inks

Hi Everybody, time to showcase a few of the older Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps. Those flowers were created by Olesya from the DT and they are just gorgeous. My stamp supplies: Simple Birthday   Olesya Bloom , Olesya Side Bloom Curious how I made this card? I made it with alcohol inks on Yupo paper I started out with some clear alcohol - you can also use blending solution, but its a lot more expensive. I use 99% alcohol, you can get that much cheaper on the internet. Used my heat gun to blow out the ink (butterscotch) Added 3 drops of yellow. Waited until it was almost dry Sprayed it lightly with alcohol Stamped with Catherine Pooler ink . It looked a little feeble, so I heat embossed it in black. You have to be careful with the heat embossing, as the Yupo paper warps easily. Added little accents with blue ink and then added splatters. I heat embossed the sentiment using paint chips and mounted it with foam tape. ...

Hi Everyone, perhaps you arrived from  Donna Idlet  on this hop. The new So Suzy and Crackerbox Stamps release is out and you will be happy to hear, that we now have a lot of wonderful sympathy card sentiments in our collection. The sentiment I used you can find HERE I masked the first line of the sentiment and stamped it with Versamark onto dark green card stock. heat embossed it in gold. The reminder of the sentiment I stamped on the inside of my card. The background I made with alcohol ink on Yupo paper. There is a fabulous YouTube Video out there - if you are interested how I made this background. I did it pretty much the same way as that guy in the video.Where there is a lot of ink, it stays sticky and I used that to add little bits of gold foil to it. Came out quite well.  You now can also buy Catherine Pooler inks on the So Suzy and Crackerbox Stamps website - they are fantastic! I am a big fan! The next stop on the...
