Katzelkraft - Candy ----What Candy?

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. Since we almost have Halloween I stayed with that theme.  I have not used those cool bottles in a while - what better than filling them with heads, LOL! I colored them with alcohol ink markers. I cut out the bottles and put them on a black card base. Before I did that i swished white ink on the card to create some kind of "floor". Added the bats with some white accents - a stencil from iStencil. The sentiment is heat embossed (Stampers Anonymous). The stamps I used are from the following sets: Les Humanoids  - KTZ223,  Les Bouteilles - KTZ261 (FRANCE) Les Humanoids  - KTZ223,  Bottles 2  - KTZ261 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Avenue 613  - anything goes Stamping Sensations  - all things autumn Lost Coast Designs  - Halloween Most Magical Time of the Year...

Crackerbox Stamps - Let Your Dreams take Flight

Hi Everybody!   Since we just had July 4th I made a card with some of my older  Crackerbox Stamps . Although I am not sure what we celebrated this year - the loss of freedom of half of the population? The loss of civil liberties? The unwillingness to combat climate change? Daily mass shootings - over 250 this year alone? I am dismayed by the current course of events. I could go on for a long time, but since this is about card making I will stop here.   Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. I first stamped the flag, inking of the stars in some dark blue and the rest in a very muted dark red. Stamped the sentiment. Added the  Statue of Liberty  - a stencil from iStencil. I went over the stripes in the torch with white, to not have the stripes shine through too much. Brushed the body of the Liberty lady with whatever color was left on my brush (did a l...

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps combined with iStencil

Hi Everybody, Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. I usually stay out of politics on my blog, but this is not the time to remain quiet. If you don't like my post and cannot stomach it or you disagree, please feel free to unfollow. As some of you probably know I deeply support justice, equity and diversity. The current events I feel are necessary and long overdue. We can not discriminate on the basis of skin color or anything else! After all diversity is what makes us unique and special and wouldn't it be boring, if we all would be the same? Out of my beliefs I created this card. Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps  has this amazing  American Flag  in the store. I first inked it up in grey and then again in blue and red, according to the flag colors. But this way it stays subdued. I added this wonderful stencil to the bottom of the flag. It is from iSt...

End The Hate

Hi Everyone, I don't know about you, but I am deeply disturbed about the events of the last several month. Starting with COVID19, that devastated the lives of so many people and disproportionately the lives of minorities, black and brown. It also disproportionately affected and affects the poor, since we are far from having overcome this disease. On top of that we experience senseless violence and police brutality against the black community. I feel drained and at the same time glued to the news. This country has been going the wrong way the last few years, sewing hate, dividing people, increasing income inequality and encouraging blatant racism. This needs to end. Change can't come soon enough!  So out of my despair I created this card with iStencils ( stripes , Statue of Liberty ) and stamps by Ryn Tanaka (tear drops). Alphabet dies by Papertry. I think it needs no other explanation. I hope for this country to heal and get better. I hope for justice. If...

Katzelkraft meets iStencil

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog. I also wanted to play with some of my beloved iStencil, so I figured, I combine those two companies....  The background I made with a MFT stencil and added the bats and cityscape. I added the lightening stencil and used gold embossing paste. The frightened little person is from the  Sherlock Holmes set , see picture below. I colored him with Inktense and cut him out with my Scan 'N Cut. Sherlock Holmes KTZ211 iStencils: Cityscape ,  Flying Bats ,  Lightning That golden lightening strike is real scary! Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! Origami Cat

Hi Everyone, it has been awhile that I just made a card to play along in challenges.....but what caught my eye was the just opened Inkspirational challenge, so I had to play along (instead of making DT cards, that is....). The prompt is "FOLD" I right away knew what stamp to use. And since i have neglected my iStencils for a while, I selected one I thought would make a great background for this origami fold cat from Carabelle Studio.  I had this in my stash now for quite a while and it was until  now an NBUS..... The sentiment is from  Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps . Added some Washi tape and enamel dots. My iStencil : The colors I got from the current Color Throwdown challenge - see picture below. Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Inkspirational - Fold Color Throwdown challenge Less is More - small images (less than 2") CAS on Friday - use a stencil

Rubber Dance - From Moo to You

Hi Everyone, That Moo to You set is just up my alley! You can also get the stamps separately and don't have to buy the entire set, if you just fall in love with one of the cows. Thought I let you know that - just in case.... Here is the entire set: From Moo to You And that's how I made this card: I stamped the cow and the sentiment. I took some sand paper and created graphite dust from a pencil Took a iStencil   and sponged the graphite mostly around the cow. Took the stencil off. You can see that there is graphite dust on the cow, but that will easily come off with an eraser as you can see here. I like those knead-able erasers best for that. I then colored the cow with markers. Added Stickles to the cupcake and candles. Don't forget about our challenge, which goes until the end of the month. Play along, if you find time! You'll find it in the  Facebook Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge  ...
