Stempel Spass

There is a new challenge out there - I am sure you all know about it by now - its called The Cutting Edge , with Jackie Rockwell as the mastermind behind it! I wanted to play and I needed a card for my Dad's 95th birthday and since I had some time today I went to work on it.... You can see it a little bit, but I used some subtly textured paper for the card base (got this from my friend Anita from My Papercraft World ) and I use it sparingly, waiting for the right occasion. And clearly, the occasion could not be any better! I used my Papertrey RainbowStripes die and partially sponged it ini orange. The numbers are Papertrey too. The balloons are Mama Elephant. The plaid on them I stamped with Hero Arts Plaid Background stamp with Delicata ink - wanted to get the textured dots form the inspiration card in. How perfect two CAS one layer card challenges - one over at  One Layer Simplicity challenge  - Fabulous flowers,  the other at    Addicted to stamps  .   I used my vase stencil again that I made myself from PTI dies. The flowers I stamped with the STAMPlorations set  VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes And the sentiment is by Hero Arts -  Essential Messages. Added some tiny pearls. Voila! Masculine is the theme at Less is More  - a challenging subject..... The  One-Layer Simplicity Challenge theme is - Can You Repeat That? I am still playing around with my  Stamplorations Graphic Pentagon se t - trying to explore all the possibilities..... Somehow I was stuck on red and black and ended up with a masculine birthday card! The dots I made with a TCW stencil. The sentiment is  Hero Arts Essential Messages. Added two enamel dots. Ahhh, another combination challenge - its Black and yellow at Dynamic Duos and CAS with Stars at The Paper Players . I needed a card for my daughters birthday and thought stars is just the right thing for her.  I used a stencil that I bought a gazillion years ago and was still unused..... the company is called Coffee break design - not sure if they still exist..... The stars are by Mama Elephant Party Kit, I used the matching die. The small stars are a Michaels punch and the sentiment is Hero Arts Essential Messages. I have not played at CAS(E) this sketch in a long time.....But here I am with  a card for it:  I used the STAMPlorations set  Retro Mod Shapes  to make this card. I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed the paper strip with clear embossing powder and then sponged in green and reds. The dots on the side are a TCW stencil. The sentiment is Hero Arts. Its kind of hard to photograph it right, so I took three pictures..... I am also linking this card with the Snippets Playground  - used snippets only (except the card base) Less is More - Rainbow - well - it has most colors of the rainbow... I just love my new STAMPlorations set called   Retro Mod Shapes . The  possibilities  with set are endless! So I played around today and that's what I came up with: Added a Hero Arts sentiment and some enamel dots. It looks like a lot of work, but it is not. this was very quick to make. The colors I took from the colour me....! challenge - such a pretty inspiration picture. I am also linking this with the One-layer simplicity challenge  - restock your shelves - giving those ladies over there quite a work-out with my cards (I believe there is no limit on the entries - well, they probably gonna change that right now...) and Seize the Birthday - anything birthday - topping coloring A Blog named Hero - New Year - New Stash - used my brand new Stamplorations set, but my trusty old favorite Hero Arts sentiment set and lastly Addicted to CAS  - NEW - the stamp set is brand new, so its perfect for this challenge! Happy B'day Neat & Tangles !  I just discoved the challenge, being away on vacation and trying to get back into my usual routine. Unfortunately I don't yet have any neat and Tangled stamps, but thankfully they are not a requirement. .... And without further ado - here is my Birthday card for you: I hope you like it! Materials: paint chips from Home Depot, enamel dot, sentiment Hero Arts Essential Messages, square paper punch I am also linking this card up with the Moxie Fab Birthday Sketch challenge and the Simon Says Triangle challenge.

A geometric pattern is the inspiration photo at the colourQ - that is for me! So I fiddled round with tiny paperstrips to recreate the pattern and I am quite happy with the result - it was worth my time  - what do you think? I left out the black squares - I wanted it to be a bit softer.... The die cut is from Memory Box - Chloe Stem, Hero Arts Essential Messages. The Twinery has now a challenge and the theme is polka dots. I don't have a lot of differently colored twine, so I left it with a little bit of the standard Baker's twine. I used my Kaleidocolor inkpad to ink up the polka dot background stamp from Inkadinkadoo. The sentiment is Hero Arts Essential Messages. I mounted it on a red cardbase. Then I cut a piece of chipboard and glued white cardstock on top to make it more substantial. 3 small gems are finshing the card.

Pink, grey and green - not a color combination I would think of normally. But here is my card for the 10 minute craft dash: I inked up my new Hero Arts Tweed background stamp with grey pigment ink, clear embossed it and colored it with Copics. The sentiment is Hero Arts as well (Essential Messages). The embossing almost did me in - tok a long time, but then the coloring is so much easier. It took me 9 minutes and 49 seconds to finish the card - just enough time to put some gems on it - took me about 20 seconds to find them..... Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

 I found this (12 aus 12 - 2012) on one of my internet sprees (actually found it on Daen'-Ys blog ) . I could not resist and put together a collage of some of my 2012 cards. Never mind, that I already kind of did this, but there are so many cards, that I like, so some of those are different Das habe ich beim Internet stoebern entdeckt.... Muss ich ja gleichmal mitmachen. Hab' zwar schon eine Zusammenstellung vone 2012 gemacht, aber da sind noch so viele Karten, die ich gerne mag.... I really liked my first fingerprint card - and I have a  lot more ideas with that "technique" - here is card #2 . I used distress inks, the sentiment is from Hero Arts (Essential messages) and Penny Black (Party time). The rest is hand drawn..... and card #3 Sentiment is from Hero Arts (Essential messages), Washi tape This card I am submitting to the CAS-ual Friday challenge #84 Thanks  and to A Blog named Hero   Challenge #17: New Year, New You, since again it is a new "technique" for me, using fingerprints instead of stamps...

Just a quick post today. I cleaned up my stamp room for hours last night, as we had friends over today and their daughter wanted to make some cards. I came upon this card from the October Hero Arts scramble: Clearly, something could be done about this. I cut away the yellow embossing that failed so miserably, glued it on pink card stock, choose a similar color for the sentiment strip and - voila!  I am now happy with the result!
