I wanted to play in the  TAWS challenge  forever now and never had the time nor the inspiration. But I am a last minute gal - always do best under pressure..... the TAWS inspiration picture is very dreamy and I wanted to capture this in my card. I think the cute castle lends itself well to this challenge. As it turned out, I also could incorporate this weeks  AAA challenge  - its a moon sketch and Stempelkueche - Birthday   Don't you love it, when things just work out that way? I sure do. I colored the castle with Copics - I am getting better at this, but still need more practice....Punched out a circle and sponged around with distress inks. Fuzzy cut the castle and popped it up with foam tape. Added a brown string and gold sequins. I really like how it turned out. Hope you like it too :) All stamps are by TAWS -  Once upon a time, sentiment - Enchanted Have a magical day everyone!

Its time for another challenge at Simply Create Too ! For the next 2 weeks we want to see an animal on your card! I just think this frog is too funny He is from this cool TAWS set called Kid n' Caboodle. I colored him with Copics. The sentiment is also TAWS - Enchanted. I used the Spellbinders die to emboss the card stock and also cut one out on a post it note and sprayed the cardstock with dark brown spray ink by Michaels. Added some dark brownstrips of cardstock on the sides and enamel dots.  I am also taking part with this card in the Card Concept . It should still classify as a CAS card, despite the ink spray. I don't know what else it would be.... I am also linking this card with  Addicted to Stamps and More  - anything goes

Hi my friends, I had such a fun weekend and I 'll share some of it with you. But first the card. I made it for the TAWS challenge :  I used TAWS - Bitty Borders to make the background. The unicorn is TAWS - Enchanted. I colored it with Copics and used foam tape for the unicorn.  On the photo below you can see that I used silver foil for the unicorn's horn.  This is the inspiration picture - its so pretty! But now my fun activities - I went to a shoe box swap on Saturday - the first one I did. Everyone who come designs a card and then brings enough material for the whole group to recreate it. So you go home with a number of different cards, can play with different supplies and inks - so much fun! Those are all our cards and below are all the Ladies participating in the event - we all hold up the card we designed! Can you see how much fun we had?

Over at TAWS they have this amazing inspiration photo -  I was mulling over what to make for a couple of days and finally go to finish my card: I recently ordered a whole bunch of stamp sets - couldn't resist the discount and got this adorable castle as a freebie! TAWS has the best deals out there - they are so generous! The sentiment is a combo from two sets - Jibber Jabber and Enchanted. I stamped it with Staz-on onto that cool gold covered paper. This paper was an amazing deal I got from Michaels - $4 for a 24 sheets of different metallic papers - it was one of their Christmas paper pads. It came in so handy for this challenge! I am such a bargain shopper.... Of course I am also linking this up with the  Seize the Birthday  - Anything Birthday and the Snippets Playground - the castle is from left over card stock Keep it Simple - Text
