National Simplicity Day - Smile Crocodile

Hi Everybody!  at the current  Day of the Month Card Club  they have a challenge after my heart - National Simplicity Day. I do love making CAS cards! I also wanted to play along in the  Once upon a Time  challenge - see below. Therefore the croc had to make an appearance - it had been collecting dust. I have actually never used it. Shame on me! I die cut the croc (Simon Says ) and brushed it with distress inks. Added googly eyes. I used a  snowfall stencil (Simon Says) to make the confetti background using the same distress inks.  The sentiment is from a little Papertrey stamp set with a matching die.  I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Day of the Month Card Club  - National Simplicity Day Once upon a Time  - see inspiration book cover below

Guest designing for the Day of the Month Card Club Challenge

Hi Everybody, I have the great honor to be guest designing for the current Day of the Month Card Club Challenge . The theme is "National Poultry Day".  Poultry refers to domestic birds that are raised for meat and eggs. These birds include chicken, turkey, ducks, geese, quail, and pheasant. I stayed quite CAS here. Although I tried some other approaches, but didn't like them. So CAS it is..... The chicken is from Stamps by Judith and the sentiment is Papertrey. Colored with water colors. The strip of wood paper at the bottom is a little left over from a prior card ( White Wood paper pad ). I hope you liked this.  Perhaps you'll find some time to play along - see you at  Day of the Month Card Club Challenge . You have until 3/25 to link you your card. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! Linking up with: The Male Room  - animals Stamping Sensations  - something for spring

Super Quick Halloween Cards

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of super quick Halloween cards. On all cards I used the same die cut  - an ancient ghost die from Papertrey - you can't even buy it anymore. I used the cut out for the white cards. On my first card I added some Washi tape from Funky Fossil Designs . The funny glasses are from Craft Emotions The spider web on the second card is another ancient stamp from Stampin' up and the bedraggled looking spider is one of those 1$ stamps from Michaels. Even more CAS with the last card - the sentiment is again one of those  1$ stamps from Michaels. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: Dream Factory - Ghostbusters (first card) Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Halloween The Male Room  - Black and White (first card) Mod Squad - Halloween (second card) Try it on Tuesday  - Halloween  (first card)

In 80 Days around the World for Heindesign

Hi Everyone, the German company Heindesign has an ongoing challenge on Facebook. The theme is "In 80 Days around the World ". The challenge is still open until 7/19. So I decided I need to play along. The requirement is a post card with a front and a backside. Above you see the front. I used an iStencil for my background. Sponged in rainbow colors. Most of the little animals are by Cats on Appletrees. The plane and car are ancient wood stamps from my stash and the sentiment I created with my computer. Here is the back of my postcard. I borrowed the post card stamps (Papertrey) from my sister. I used another iStencil for the cityscape. The balloon and clock are also ancient wood stamps. Masked them and sponged the rest. And to make it more fun I created a little poem in German: Schnell, schnell wir eilen, koennen nicht verweilen..... In 80 Tagen um die Erde ob ich das denn schaffen werde? Ich hoffe schon und sende Gruesse an den Herrn Hein und seine Suesse In English - sorry, ...

Guest Designing at Just us Girls #531

Hi Everyone, I have the great honor to be guest designing at  JUGS  for the entire month! You know Easter is just around the corner. I think I bought this wonderful paper from Alexandra Renke last year and could not get myself to use it. But I finally gave myself a push and cut into it.... The theme is: Using designer paper always feel a bit like cheating to me....I guess I should just get over that feeling.  I used a stitched square die by Simon Says and another Lifestyle Crafts regular square die to cut the Kraft paper. The die cut bunny is also by Alexandra Renke. The pretty sentiment is by Papertrey. Come and join us at  JUGS , getting your feathers some use!  Stay home and stay healthy! Happy Stamping! Joyous Easter

Hi Everyone, I really don't like to post twice a day, but JUGS is closing and I need to get this card in - after all I made it specifically for their current challenge - black background. Suits my mood at the moment... Besides that I am waiting for my mojo to reappear - it went into hiding. Tried to find it, but was unsuccessful - I think it is afraid of getting infected..... This card was easy - Hero Arts stencil with white embossing paste, a die cut by Alexandra Renke and the sentiment is from Papertrey.  Linking up with:  Just us Girls - black background As You Like it - spring or Easter (need more Easter cards) Krafty Chicks - CAS Sisterhood of Crafters - Easter

CAS Mix Up Reminder

Hi Everyone, I have been asked to be guest designer at the  CAS Mix-Up challenge . You may have seen my first card HERE . And now you'll see my reminder card for this fabulous challenge. The DT supplies ample information about the topic and one can learn so much!  This month topic is all about embossing folders. If you are like me, you have a huge supply of them - but rarely used.... I am so glad I had an excuse to put at least one of them in action! For this card I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and smeared it with Creative Expressions metallic gliding polish. I die cut the flower using a Penny black die and gold shimmer paper. The little sentiment is an ancient one from Papertrey. I also added a few gold gems. So glad I found an excuse for my embossing folder. I should use them more frequently. If you feel the same way - just play along! Here is a compilation of all the Embossing Folder Tutorials: Embossing Folder Stamping ...

Twofer Challenge #1

Hi Everyone, my blogging friends started a new challenge and of course I have to play along!!!! I am sure you all know about the TWOFER challenge - the master mind behind it is the beloved Darnell from djcardcreations . So the idea is to take one stamp of die and make two different cards. The current theme is FEATHER. The feather I used is from an ancient Hero Arts set. For the black card I heat embossed it in gold, added a large feather as well and colored it with Fine Tec mica water colors. The sentiment is by Papertrey. Added gold splatters and Washi tape at the bottom. The white card is super simple as you can see. The same feather. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations and the cute little bird is another ancient stamp from a company I believe no longer exists. And to get Darnell excited it was an NBUS stamp! I did add some subtle grey shading to to feather. Here are a bit bigger pictures. What a FUN challenge! I am sure I'll be a regu...
