Woodblock Wednesday - Crocodile Thanks

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I combined this gorgeous flower stamp from Stampendous with a newly acquired crocodile by Paper Source. The die is from Penny Black. I stamped on water color paper and did some loose water coloring. The croc I stamped and cut out. Stamped one of the little flowers again and cut it out as well. I made this card as a thank you for my sister, who watered my flowers in my absence. Above you can see the wood block stamps I used. I got another crocodile stamp for my sister. What you can't see well is that I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flowers for some sparkle. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - add a sentiment Simon Says Monday challenge  - water color

Muse Christmas Vision #38

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the Muse Christmas Vision - this time it is Maria Fischer from Riesling Mama , who made a real fun card for us! I  did not have suitable PP, so I took my SS stencil and made some grey snow. The wonky Christmas Tree is from Hero Arts, colored with Copics and added an enamel dot. The pretty sentiment is by Stampendous. And that is Maria's inspiration card: Another look: So, are you inspired? I bet you are! Also linking up with: One Layer Christmas Card challenge   - anything Christmas Merry Monday - card based on a Christmas carol - mine is "Oh Christmas Tree"

Almost Back..........

Hi Everyone, I am coming out of hiding really soon. I still have some vision problems, but it is slowly getting better. Yesterday I had another check-up and I do not need any more procedures on my eye. I had 4 so far and it was NOT fun, definitely NOT......Thanks to that, I also learned, that I will not hold up to torture. I'll admit to anything, whatever it was or not, I'll confess.  I want to thank all of you for your get well wishes, prayers and all those amazing, wonderful cards you sent me. Wow - I am so grateful for all the support and love you poured out to me. I am so touched.  Since its all good news I want to share this card with you, that I made a LONG time ago and it got published in the October issue of Craft Stamper Magazine! The theme was Arabian nights. The technique is heat embossing on vellum and colored with Copics. The peony stamp is by Stampendous and the sentiment is by STAMPlorations . The inspiration of this card came from the wonderful...

10 Minute Craft Dash #23 and KIS #20

It's a birthday Party over there at the 10 Minute Craft Dash - Happy Birthday to Paulina and her DT and many more!!  There is a blog hop going on there and there are many fun prizes to win! I used a Mr. Huey mask and Smooch Spritz on watercolor paper to have it dry faster. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I added some sequins. Below are photos from my kitchen timer - it counts down from 10 minutes - it took me 9 minutes and 29 seconds to make this card. At Kis the requirement is CHEVRON for this month, so I am linking this card up there as well.

CAS-ual Fridays and Just Us Girls

Due to time constraints I am combining two challenges.... .Just Us Girls  has "Ombre" as a theme and it's "all that glitters" at CAS-ual Fridays . So the dragonfly glitters over an ombre background. It kind of hard to photograph the glitter.  A while ago I saw on the Stampendous website the Kaleidoscope embossing powder  - that is really cool! It changes color depending on how long you heat it starting at blue to green, to golden brown. I only heated it at its blue and green stage, going with my background colors. I love the effect. I found another cool challenge to submit this card to: Catered Crop - the theme is glitter, too. How perfect is that? Materials: Dragonfly  - Stamping Ground, Gradation background by Impression Obsession, sentiment Papertrey Happy Trails, Kaleidoscope embossing powder by Stampendous
