Katzelkraft - Purrfect Crime

Hi Everyone, I am sure by now you have seen that there is a new stamp release from  Katzelkraft. It is awesome! This cat is one of my favorites! I stamped the cat, masked it and then stamped the rat. I colored them with alcohol ink markers. Brushed the background after I masked the cat and rat again. Added water and white paint splatters. Stamped the sentiment, drew a box around it and added it.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Chat Detective - SOLO190,  Les Rats des Villes   -  KTZ179  (FRANCE) Cat Detective - SOLO190 , City Rats -  KTZ179  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft - Coward, a Different Interpretation

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. It's another one of those language inspired cards. I hope you are still enjoying them.... I stamped the rats first with a touch of masking.  I stamped the cow and water colored the animals, including the ground they stand on. The pretty  Washi tape  is from Funky Fossil Designs.  Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: La Ferme des Animaux - KTZ208,  Les Rats des Villes  - KTZ179  (FRANCE) Farm Animals - KTZ208,   City Rats  - KTZ179     (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft - Inspired by Karl Valentin I

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am a huge fan of  Karl Valentin (1842-1948) a Bavarian comedian. He said a lot of funny as well as profound things and is still well known to this date. There is a little museum in Munich dedicated to him - definitely a worthwhile visit if you visit Munich and speak German...... This card uses one of his famous sayings. I think its really impossible to translate (at least for me), but here is a meager attempt that doesn't do it justice "We wanted to want it, but we didn't dare to". He had a special kind of humor. Of course I had to choose the rats for the illustration - they are simply the best with all their varied expressions! I stamped them with a touch of masking and water colored them. the pretty Washi tape is from Funky Fossil Designs.  Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamp I used is from the following set: Les Rats des Villes - KTZ179  (FRANCE) ...

Katzelkraft Calendar - August

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar. I am sure you can tell.... August is dedicated to summer and not only humans like to eat water melon, but the rats and insects love it, too!  Now this big snake sneaked in somehow. It's not from Katzelkraft, but it is an old stamp by Hein Design. Unfortunately no longer produced. I wonder why. Such a great stamp - it actually comes in 3 pieces, the head, tail, a curved piece and a straight one. I did not use the straight one here. Anyhow with that you can make it any size and go in any direction. Pretty clever, right? The ants are by Cats on Appletrees. I started with the water melon, which I drew and colored with water colors. Cut it out. Sponged the background. I stamped the snake and rats, colored them with Copics and cut them out. The insect is stamped directly onto the background. Added the ants. Added white highlights.    The stamps I used are from the ...

Topflight Stamps - Cheesy Christmas

Hi Everyone, This week it's anything goes on the  Topflight blog .  I finally got my hands on this fabulous Christmas Tree. It looks like Swiss Cheese, doesn't it? And guess who loves cheese?  Those pesky rats - you got it! I stamped the tree onto yellow card stock. colored it a bit with Copics and cut it out. marked where the tree ends up on the card and masked and stamped some of the rats. The other rats I stamped on scrap paper and cut them out. Colored them all with Copics. Assembled everything and added the heat embossed sentiment. Added Stickles to the star. This was NOT a quick project - just in case you are wondering about that. Alone the planning out took some time and of course the cutting and coloring. But it was worth it for me - I hope you agree! I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Katzelkraft City Rats , PaperAr...

Katzelkraft - Le Gambit des Rats

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I had actually made that background for the card I showed a little while ago , but I did not like it - it was too busy for it. But I figured I used it for a different card and here it is! I heat embossed the chess figures and loosely masked them. I made the background with Infusions ( Sleight Blue ) and Brushos (Ost. Blue). Moved the colors around a bit. I colored the rats and cut them out. Added them to the card. The sentiment is from the set  Whatchamacallit . It is heat embossed as well.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Rats - KTZ179, Whatchamacallit   - KTZ276   ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Rats - KTZ179,   Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft Calendar - February

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar. I am quite happy with my second page.  Of course February is dedicated to Valentine's Day. Looking forward to the next 10 months! I first stamped the dogs. They have only eyes for each other...Colored them with water brush pens and masked them. Created the background with help of a stencil (Altenew). Stamped the grass. Stamped the hats and tie onto scrap paper, colored them, cut them out and added them.  Added the branches. Added the calendar. And then I thought it needs a rat....Doesn't everything look better with a rat, LOL? I had some precut rats and choose one. Put it on top of the calendar. Any suggestions for March? I am open to ideas.... The stamps I used are from the following sets: Dogs - KTZ161,  Rats - KTZ179 ,  Herbs Folles  - KTZ256,   Funny  Accessories   - KTZ 156   ( FRANCE) Dogs - KTZ161,  Rats - ...

Katzelkraft - Santa going down the wrong Chimney!

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. For this weeks card I am going with humor. That poor Santa needs some glasses, not every opening is a chimney, LOL! I stamped the garbage can, not inking up the lid. Masked it and stamped only the Santa upside down. I did not inky up his reindeer companions. Drew the brown sac, masked it and added the rat. I also stamped the can and coffee cup (Stamps by Judith) onto scrap paper, colored them and cut them out. Colored everything with water colors. Added the cup and can. Stamped the sentiments (Crackerbox Stamps oops , hohoho ) except for the chimney one, that I printed with the help of my computer. The pretty Washi tape on the side is by Funky Fossil Designs. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Dancing Santa  - Solo102, Garbage can -  Solo107, Rats - KTZ179   ( FRANCE)   Dancing Santa  - Solo102,  Garbage can  -  Solo107, Rats - KTZ179    ...

Katzelkraft - Rats don't Share

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I wanted to play along with the Dream factory challenge - their current them is Alfred Hitchcock's movie the birds. Despite all those birds the rat seems to be commanding most of the attention......After all she caught a huge fish, that she definitely doesn't want to share with that greedy seagull.  On the original stamp the rat is holding a piece of cheese, that I cut away and made her this fish instead. The boat and seagull are from a new set I stamped the boat, made the background and stamped the birds and seagull. Stamped the rat on scrap paper and cut it out. Did the same with the gull. Colored them and glued them to the card. Couldn't find a matching sentiment. Oh well.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Seaside - KTZ256,   Les Rats des Villes - KTZ179 , ( FRANCE) Seaside  - KTZ256,   Les Rats des Villes  - KTZ179 ,    (USA) Hope you liked this - I...
