7 Days 7 Sketches - Day 5 and 6

Looks like I might make it through all 7 days at Mel's 7 Days 7 Sketches...... This is my card for day 5 : Cut the big circle with a Lifestyle Crafts die and used a square die to cut the square. Watercolored them and taped them in. Stamped the butterflies from Stamplorations - Artful Flutters, added white accents and stamped the sentiment (ancient Memory Box set- In the Garden - CL106) around the circle Here is another view: Linking up with: Handmade Bliss - see colors below Addicted to CAS - butterfly Memory Box - butterflies Now onto day 6 : I die cut myself some stamps from fun foam, using those Lifestyle Crafts nesting dies. The smaller circles are by Hero Arts - Box of Dots (LL890). The die cut love is by Papertrey - Wet Paint. Added some enamel dots and Bakers twine.  Linking up with: Cosmic Strawberry - see colors below Happy Stamping!

GOLDEN OLDIE! combined with RIC#28

One of my favorite challenges is the  Runway Inspired Challenge . For this challenge they picked this gorgeous dress by  Carolina Herrera. What a dream of a dress! And what better stamps to use than one of my favorite little stamp sets from Hero Arts called box of dots. It came out in 2003 - long before I started stamping - I probably snatched it up on one of those stamp sales..... This way I can also link up this card with the A blog named Hero   GOLDEN OLDIE! challenge - how sweet! I stamped the dots randomly onto white card stock. Then I repeated the same on vellum and superimposed the two papers and attached them with vellum glue. The sentiment (Inkadinkadoo - Garden Flower) is stamped onto the paper, to give it a softer look. A thin silver thread on top - finito! Before I go  tonight I wanted to thank everybody for all  the sweet comments that were left on my blog. I hope you enjoy this entry as well - good ...

Washi Tape and Hanukkah

Here is my entry for the second KIS challenge  - this time it is Washi tape. I putzed around with it two days ago, but was not happy with the result. You can find it under this entry . This card I like so much better, so in the challenge it goes. I saw a similar card in the past which inspired me to make this - I wish I'd remember who did it, to give credit, but I don't.  The splatters I did with a wet paintbrush and distress inks and just flicked them onto the paper. Somehow it really stains your fingers..... The sentiment and flourish is from Hero Arts, the little orange splatter in the left bottom corner is from Papertrey. I put glossy accents on it, but it does not show on the photo. In the afternoon I surprisingly had more time and played around with a Hanukkah card. First I though it does not need a sentiment, but then I changed my mind. The candles are just colored paper. The flame I made from a left over piece of rubber and the small circles are...

Second Chances and Color Throwdown

I thought long about this A Blog named Hero  challenge and managed at the last minute to come up with something. I usually rather create something new, instead of rehashing.....And I am not sure, if I like my new card better. But here they are: THE NEW: THE OLD: Of course, to be efficient I made this to fit this  The Color Throwdown challenge Stamps are from Hero Arts, except the large dot, which is from A Muse
