Crackerbox Suzy Stamps - Distressed Easter Bunny

Hi Everybody, Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. Our monthly technique theme at Crackerbox Suzy Stamps is MONO COLOR and Easter is one of our discounted themes this month. For the complete list, see below. My stamping supplies: Happy Easter Vertical Bunny Blue Copic Markers Catherine Pooler Ink I colored the bunny with Copic markers and cut it out. I die cut the frame (Steckenpferdchen) three times and glued it together. I used one of the leftovers as stencil to sponge in my background.  I stamped the bunny onto the sponged rectangle and glued my cut out bunny on top. Stamped the sentiment . Attached some Nymo thread. I also added clear Nuvo drops to his nose. This such a cute bunny - he just doesn't want to let go of his eggs.... You can get $5.00 store credit  once a week . Each month we will have several cate...

Shell and Octopi

Hi Everyone,  I wanted to make one more summer card, before the summer is completely  over and Challenge up your Life provided the incentive - the theme is shells. I thought I had some shells, but I was wrong, but then I dug o up this Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymus set, that I had won a looooong time ago and hadn't used. It has quite a beautiful shell in it. I also wanted to play with my new pearl alcohol inks. The shimmer doesn't show well in the picture, but they are pretty. I added some foil to the sticky areas. The delicate octopi are by Alexandra Renke and the frame is by Steckenpferdchen.  Linking up with:   Challenge up your Life   - shells Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies Simon Says Monday challenge - stamp it

Twofer #19 - Nautical

Hi Everyone, the new Twofer challenge is out and instead of procrastinating I just went up to my  craft room and made two cards! The theme is Nautical! How cool! The only problem was, that I have way too many supplies I could possibly use. I settled on the big crab that I imported a while ago from Germany from the online shop Steckenpferdchen. They have some cool stuff in that store and clearly, I couldn't leave the crab there.... For this card I stamped the crab onto photo paper and added some splatters and smooshed a bit. Added the fish die cuts. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. I couldn't resist adding some googly eyes.... For my second card I stamped the crab in red tones, using and ombre ink pad from Michaels. The thin frames are also from Steckenpferdchen . Tied a die cut fish to it and stamped the sentiment (Katzelkraft). Small googly eyes for this one. Loving my Twofer cards! Also linking up with: Wa...

House of Cards May Challenge

Hi Everyone, its challenge time at  House of Cards ! This month theme is Bokeh technique. Mynn created a nice tutorial on the HOC blog to show you how to do this. and there will be other tips and tutorials throughout the month form your fabulous DT! Here is my card: I made a watercolor background and once it was dry I sponged white pigment ink on top of it using a home made stencil in which I punched various sized holes. Really easy - just a bit time consuming. But the effect is well worth it! I used a stitched frame to cut my bokeh panel to size. I added the gold foil die cut sentiment and heat embossed the rest of the sentiment on black card stock (added foam tape to give it some dimension).  Added gold foil sequins and gold thread. Stamp Connection #1

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our first transatlantic get-together! Our requirements for our first meet-up were: Easter bunny/bunnies and stencil. And here is my card: I used an iStencil for this - I love that one - you can see other cards with it HERE  . Sponged in grey and pink. My favorite Impression Obsession bunnies and a Michaels sentiment. The pink bunny is mounted on foam tape. I am linking this card with  Simply Create Too  - Easter Bunnies Steckenpferdchen - Fruehlingserwachen - Spring - spring makes me always think of Easter! Hi Everyone, this is my second week for guest designing at  colour me....!   this month! I am sure you are familiar with this fun color challenge by now. For this week we have this beautiful inspiration picture for you - just right for Valentine's Day.  Its pink and red, combined with a neutral color: I settled for this beautiful Memory Box  - Butterfly delights. I sponged each wing in pink and also brushed it with Wink of Stella, but that is really hard to see in the picture...The die cuts words are Papertrey and I added some sequins from  Neat&Tangled. I mounted the white cardbase on red cardstock. Here is another view of my card: Now go and play and hopefully I 'll see you linking up with us! And don't forget to check out the amazing DT cards - so much inspiration over there ! Playing wth this card in Steckenpferdchen - Herzen - hearts

Simply Create Too Challenge #65 - Christmas in July

Hi  my friends  - its time for  a new  challenge at Simply Create Too ! For the next two weeks its going to be Christmas in July. You can not start too soon to work up a stash of Christmas cards, right? Remember the stress from last year? So time to tackle that.... I went with an all white theme - mainly because I wanted to play in the current  Merry Monday  challenge- All White Christmas Card. It also fits the challenge at  Steckenpferdchen  - Ganz in Weiss (All White). White cards I personally find difficult. My followers I am sure know that I love colors..... Materials: sentiments by Mama Elephant Merry Greetings, heat embossed in silver, Poppy Die, silver string, foam tape So come on over to Simply Create Too and let our wonderful DT inspire you. See you there......

Fusion

Did you see that inspiration picture at the  Fusion  challenge? You probably did. I wanted to play ..... This si so up my alley with those rbight colors! Finally I found the time...... I used my new MFT stamp sets - NBUS (never before used schtuff), as Darnell from djcardkreations  would call it. By the way - she has a challenge going on over there for exactly that - get your NBUS out there - you bought it to USE it, right? Stamped in various colors and added some black paper strips on the side - to combine the colors with the sketch. Colored in the "YOU" and added those lovely enamel dots.  Steckenpferdchen  - a German challenge blog has chevron as a theme right now - of course I had that in mind, when I chose my stamps......and since there are some snippets involved I am also linking this with Di's Snippets Playground - another worthwhile blog to visit. I use snippets so frequently - I am always over there.... I am also linking this card with...

Trendy Feathers

I discovered a new challenge blog called  Steckenpferdchen . The challenge for this month is "Feathers" - Federn. Its a German blog, yeahh! (Dann sollte ich vielleicht auf Deutsch weiterschreiben.....) Since I have this beautiful feather set from Stamplorations, called Trendy Feathers I had to play in this challenge.... All stamp are form this set. The color block I made with a stencil I cut with my rectangular My Favorite Things Dienamics dies and sponged. The little "buttons" are Paper Pandy - colored with Copics - much cheaper than enamel dots and easier to ship..... I combined this with the sketch from   CAS Colours and Sketches  and the colors from Annabelle stamps - I have not played in that challenge in ages.....and since I made myself a stencil for this card, I also will link it with the  Moxie Fab STENCIL challenge  and   Less is more   - Rules of Three recipe - used 3 colors and 3 feathers!       ...
