STAMPlorations CASEplorations April

Hi Everyone, come and CASE with us here at  STAMPlorations ! Our guest designer for this month is going to be the one and only Donna Mikasa. I am sure you all know her blog Three Umbrellas  and if you don't - go and visit, its a real treat! This is Donna's fabulous card : You see my CASE is pretty close. Took that pretty rose  from the set Blossom Overture , stamped it 5 times and heat embossed it in white. Water colored it. Added black splatters and a little striped PP at the bottom. The sentiment is also heat embossed in white. Our amazing DT has made quite some amazing inspiration cards! Go and check it out! So you want to play along? Case  Donna's card  (this is a change from the prior rules) and link it up  HERE  - you have the whole month to join in! And of course - there are prizes to win! And don't forget - there is a sale going on at STAMPlorations! Linking up with: Seize the Birt...

Thank You Waffleflower

Hi Everyone, almost Christmas, but what is that? This wiener dog just weaseled himself in here, in complete disregard of all the upcoming festivities... And once was not enough - he has to show up 4 times...Originally I planned on three times, but I smudged the card, so this required another appearance ;) Well, that cutie is by Waffle flower, one of my brand new stamp sets. I love it! Of course I am playing in the Waffle flower challenge , which at first caused me some consternation - stamp layering??? Well, I finally got what that meant. So I pulled out some stamps I cut myself a looooong time ago from rubber scraps and did some stamp layering as a background, using kind of the colors from the inspiration photo. Added the Wiener dog - nice layering, huh? The enamel dots have two functions - first, they balance the card and second - the color shows up in the inspiration photo.  Also linking up with: Sunday Stamps - sketch, see below (I stretched it...

Dandelion and Christmas Trees

Hi  Everyone, I am getting tired of making Christmas cards.... I needed a break from them. I love the inspiration picture for the current Sunday stamps challenge , so I pulled out my ancient Hero Arts stamp to make this card.  The sentiment is by Unity stamps. Did some masking and sponging. I also performed a little surgery on my stamp, as those falling dandelion seeds are attached to the main stamp. Just a little cut with my Exacto knife and I set them free! I am also linking up with: Mod Squad Challenge  - Anything but Christmas (exactly how I feel....) Happy Little Stampers Dec CAS Challenge   -  Favorite Technique (sponging is my favorite)    But I do have a Christmas card for you, in fact I  made two - they are slightly different - do you see it? My materials are: tree dies - Papertrey, sentiment - Simon Says stamps, some punches, gingham stamp - Stampin' up, PP cut with a die by Paper S...

Going Grey

Hi Everyone, I am going Grey for Sunday Stamps  - could not resist their inspiration picture - see below. And I also wanted to play with this weeks   Addicted to CAS chevron challenge. And I have the perfect stamp for it, I think. The Line upon Line  stamp from The Alley Way Stamps. As you all can guess - they made that one for me ;) - cool and graphic - just my thing!  I heat embossed it in clear and die some ombre sponging with Black Soot distress ink. The sentiment is also from TAWS  - all about YOU . Added seam binding. The arrow is from my die cut scrap pile. I could not resist to add the tiny neon pink strip - a little snippet lying around on my craft table. It might disqualify me from the Sunday Stamp challenge, but I could not resist. This card need a teeny tiny bit of color.... The sequin is actually pink as well, but looks purple in the picture. Hope you like it and hopefully I will not get disqualified... Happy Stampin...

A D@D Card

Hi Everyone, Fathers Day is coming - so you better are prepared ;) My friend Monika from Creative with Monika just joined the  DT at  Sunday Stamps  - so I had to play. They have a color challenge going on right now  -masculine colors in my book, so I made a Dad's card: I made myself a star stencil and did some sloppy sponging. The die cut and sentiment are by Lil' Inkers. Added Washi tape and enamel dots. I love that die cut. so clever! Here is the inspiration photo: I am also joining in with this month Lil' Inkers Meetup challenge  and  with Cardz4Guys  - make your mark Happy Stamping!
