Woodblock Wednesday - Heartfelt Wishes

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! I used four of them for this simple card!  I stamped the hedgie and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Added some grass and could not help myself and added the little spider - after all somebody had to make those spider webs....Trimmed the card with a scalloped edge die and used some colored paper under it (both from Funky Fossil Designs). Heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape. Here you can see all the stamps I used: Hedgie (Penny Black) Spider and grass (Stamps by Judith) sentiment (Savy Stamps) Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! KIS #22 - Water

Interesting challenge, I actually had to think about it. Create a fish scene, something wintery or rainy?  But in the end I decided to go with my favorite stamps -  Ryn's water droplets . I am sure you have seen them  on my blog  or other peoples blogs and she was just recently featured on the  Papercrafters Library . I wet a left over strip of water color paper and sprayed it with Tim Holtz color wash and had the colors run down the paper and blend. After it had dried i sprinkled water drops on it - it shows a little bit. I then stamped the waterdroplet stamp over it, took a little bit of color off with a paintbrush and tissue paper and put highlights on them. The sentiment is from Savy stamps.                                                                      ...

One-Layer Wednesday 133: Shapes Galore

First I want to say HELLO to a new member -  ANGEL joined my blog. Unfortunately I can not find a blog, so I can't link her. But I am always happy when somebody new joins in here - I hope you keep liking what you find here. And as is customary for my blog I have a thank you picture for you: I was at the Liberty Arts Science center with my son and friends and on the way to the parking lot we saw those bronze plaques in the sidewalk. They were commissioned by the NJ Transit Authority. I thought they were really pretty. And my welcome picture in a way also fits the card challenge I made this card for...   --X-- Shapes Galore - that is the theme at OWL this week. I always love polka dots - and rainbow colors - they never fail. The card looks really simple, but it was not. Most of the time I do one try and that's it, but this one - I think I did 5 - first I had different colors and lining up the stamp was a pain.  Mo...
