Topflight Stamps - Bloom Bookmarks

Hi Everyone, This week it's anything goes on the  Topflight blog .  I decided on making some bookmarks with the pretty Darkroom Door Chrysanthemums. I used water color paper for my background. Sprinkled Brushos (yellow and blue) onto the paper and generously added water to have the colors blend. You can used regular watercolors for this as well.  I stamped the blooms and added a bit of focal color as well as some highlights with a Posca pen. Stamped the sentiment. Lastly I added some ribbons. I dabbed away some of the color from the above bloom, as it was a bit too dark for my taste. I alos added a bit of color to the leaves. On the bookmark below I added a texture stamp on the side and colored it in a bit. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Beautiful Blooms , Abstract04 Reading , Brusho Yellow , Brusho Prussian Blue Linking up w...

Water Scene Birthday Card

Hi Everyone, this card did not come together easily - I think it shows.... I wanted to play along with the AAA birthday challenge - the theme is "Under the Sea" and the Addicted to CAS Challenge - the theme is water. Not sure if this is CAS enough....but what does it matter? This is just for the fun of it all.  I finally get to use that super cute whittle hippo from Memory Box and his little water friends.  I made a water color background with Brusho ultramarine. Die cut all those creatures. Added the sentiment (also Memory box). Splashed water drops onto the background. Had a strip of ancient patterned paper lying around and added it as border to my panel. Put everything together.  Not entirely happy with this, but it is, what it is.... Maybe you like it better..... Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! Topflight Stamps - No Day without Laughter

Hi Everyone, It's  Topflight Stamps   day!  We don't have a theme this week. So I figured I ink up that darling Charlie Chaplin stamp that recently moved into my card room. It is from AALL&Create - see link below. I used photo paper as background and added Brusho . I love the detail you get with that. Stamped Charlie on a piece of scrap paper, colored him with water brush pens and cut him out. Stamped the sentiment on a piece of scrap paper, drew some lines around the words and cut them as well. Added some striped paper to my background and I hope you liked this! I wish you a Merry Christmas!  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. Topflight Stamps - How Fragile We Are

Hi Everyone, It's  Topflight Stamps   day!  And since its fall I have an excuse to create a scary card.... I used photo paper for my background. I stamped the broken glass and then sprinkled Brushos on them. Topflight  does not carry Brushos, but they carry Infusions dye from Paper Artsy  , which is basically the same thing. I stamped the skulls and sentiment on a piece of scrap paper and fuzzy cut them and added them to my card. A little strip of patterned paper on the side and that's it. I hope you liked this!
