Three Cards

Hi Everyone, I want to share three cards with you. the first one I made for the Muse Challenge , where Anita absolutely stunned me with her fabulous inspiration card - you'll see it below. No sure if my card does hers justice. I kind of blatantly copied it, using an ancient Hero Arts stamp. Colored it with water colors and added Wink of Stella to the blooms. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Here is  Anita's fabulous card: My second card I made for the Balloon challenge that my friend Gundi has going on at her blog Papierelle. The die cut is by Papertrey, the sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Added some Washi tape. My last card I made for this weeks Less is More challenge - the theme is one layer with leaves. Used my favorite So Suzy stamps, the  Maple Line Leaf ,   Beech Line Leaf  and the  Chestnut Leaf . Again, the sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Masked the strip and sponged with mint green ink. Added t...

Muse Challenge #197

Hi Everyone, I am done making Christmas cards - too late for them to arrive.....whoever has not made it on to my mailing list now gets a New Years card (or a Valentine's Day card...) Thankfully the  Muse challenge  supplies us with inspiration for New Years cards - I jumped on that .... My supplies: Memory Box dies stamps by happy Little Stampers This is Jenni's inspiration - how cool is that? Love the cityscape in those big numbers, but I did not want to repeat that So I went the more conventional route. Did some background sponging and added glittery Washi tape. Merry Christmas to all of you!

Muse Challenge #192

Hi Everyone, it has been ages for my playing in the Muse challenge - I couldn't resist when I saw Tracey McNeeley's gorgeous card..... Basically copied it with different colors - used that gorgeous  Maple Line Leaf  from So Suzy Stamps Inked up the back side and spritzed it with water and stamped it onto water color paper. Once it was completely dry (overnight) I stamped the leaf in Versamark and embossed it in silver. Added silver Washi tape, the sentiment  (also So Suzy), sequins and silver embroidery string. Here is Tracey's fab card: Another view of mine: Linking up with: Mod Squad challenge - use a ribbon - used embroidery thread - I wonder if that counts.... Happy Stamping!

Geometric Shapes

Hi Everyone, I am sure you guessed I would play with this weeks Less is More challenge - its geometric shapes on a one layer card - two of my favorites!!!! Of course I had to pull out my favorite iStencil - this time I inked it up in reddish tones and made a dark grey background. I also masked the periphery and only concentrated on the "ball" or lets call it a circle, since we want to be geometric ;) Click on the picture and it will get you to the store :) I die cut the "birthday" - inlaid, of course to stick with one layer. Stamped the tiny happy on the side and added an enamel dot.  I am also linking up with the current Muse challenge , where the talented and creative Anita from Neet and Crafty  made a wonderful card for us to CASE. Here is her card: So, if you are wondering how this relates - well, I stuck with the orangey/red color scheme, the inlaid die-cutting and the asymmetric centering of the image - only mine is  r...

Mix it up with the Muse

Hi Everyone,  I have to get a card into the Ellen Hudson Mix it up challenge , before Mr. Linky closes.... I have been procrastinating over this challenge the entire time - had no clue what to make, but then I saw Anita's card over at the Muse challenge and it clicked! Here is Anita's ah-mazing card : I used my Ellen Hutson stamps to make this card - kept it one layer, since I love to do that and added Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some splatters. I am also linking up with: The Paper Players - went with those pretty colors Happy Pi Day!

Muse #156

Hi Everyone, I finally found time to play with the Muse challenge this week - I could not resist Michele's fabulous inspiration card... ......using Laura Bassen's camouflaging die cut technique - the outcome is guaranteed to please! I have done that before, so I didn't have to watch the video and its quite simple anyhow. You mask and sponge - I guess you could also use PP and them you die cut (keep those little pieces). Since I like to streamline things I die cut the thanks in fun foam, glued the card stock on it and fiddled it in. I love how Michele used the stencil to give it more umpfh! I did not quite sponge enough for that, so I simple added some clear embossed gems. You can see this better on the magnified picture and added some Wink of Stella and sequins. all my supplies are by Winnie & Walter. Also linking up with: Less is More -  C I T R U S  colors Winnie & Walter - join in and win Stamping Royalty ...

Muse #151

Hi Everyone, I have not played with the Muse challenge in a while, even that I really wanted to play along, but tonight I finally managed to make a card for the current challenge. Michele Ferguson made this cool, graphic card and I immediately knew what die I  would use to CASE her card: It's a  Marianne die, I used it last year a couple of times. I just love it -it reminds me about the LOVE sculpture by  Robert Indiana . Oops, just read this weeks requirements.... Well I am not into pop songs - no way I can guess Michele's song... can you guess mine? Actually its not a song, its a piano piece written by someone long dead. He never married, was kind of grumpy - got enough hints? Here is Michele's fun card: I just added some washi tape and an enamel dot. So, not sure if I still can play along, but what the heck - this is card making and not song guessing... ;) I'm linking it up! Also linking up with: kreativ durcheinander #3 ...

Muse x2

Hi Everyone, my Christmas card production is still in full swing.....so I am playing in a few more challenges. And I do love the Muse challenges - thankfully there is two of them now :) My first one I made for the Muse Christmas Vision challenge where Kimberly Wiener made this glittery masterpiece. I did a redux of it, keeping it more mellow.  The die cuts I used are by Memory Box, the sentiment is by Neat&Tangled, To get some glitter on my card I took a splatter stamp by  Stamplorations - Mixed Media Elements  and stamped it in Versamark over the sentiment and glittered it up with adhesive embossing powder and of course glitter. Kimberley's card:   The glitter splotch really doe not come out in the picture...too bad. It sparkles quite wonderful in real life.... The baubles are cut from shimmer paper and I mounted the whole card on wood PP. Also linking up with: Memory Box challenge  - Season's Greetings. ______ ...

Muse

Hi Everyone, I have not played with the Muse challeng e in ages.... well, you all know why...but I am back. Certainly as soon as I say Ardyth's talented daughter's card I knew I had to chime in. I used two Mama Elephant stamp sets for my card. I think its self explanatory, so I won't bore you with text to read.... This is Kate's FUN card: Stuck quite close to the original. Linking up with: One Layer Christmas cards - anything goes Retro Rubber - anything goes (all stamps older than one year)   Happy Stamping!
