Muse #64

I just came back from vacation - a week of no card making - I was getting withdrawal symptoms - LOL! What better than being inspired by Marion Vagg  - this weeks fabulous Muse over at the  Muse challenge ! You'll see her card below. I used the Avery Elle set Bright Days. I heat embossed the yellow sun rays and then sponged around them. The sentiment is also by Avery Elle -To the Point. the card stock is textured - got it from my blogging friend Anita, but you can see this better in the picture below: Here is this weeks Muse card: I am also adding this card to the  Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - the theme is CAS and to CAS-ual Fridays - Three Thirds (3 "suns", 3 colors) Have a great day Everyone and thank you for all you fabulous comments during my week of absence from blog land! I loved all of them. Thank you so much!

Avery Elle combined with Colour me

We had such a gorgeous spring day today and I was busy all day long preparing for a course I have ot give in May and cleaning up my house.... But then I needed a break and made a card - what else would I do....?  I made it for the    AEI♥U Challenge  - water color and used those gorgeous colors from   Colour me...! I pulled out my favorite set from Avery Elle - Bright Days and heat embossed the two triangles. I water colored around them, creating a background and then stamped the triangles again in the challenge colors. Added some splatters.  The sentiment is from the Avery Elle set - Fanfare. Added some Paper Candy, colored with Copics. I hope you like it, I sure do! And now back to work.... Have a great weekend and thank you for all your lovely comments! I am also linking this with Seize the Birthday  - optional White on White  Time Out challenge  - Masculine Birthday Just us Girls  - watercolor backgro...

CAS Colours and Sketches and Avery Elle

Avery Elle has a guest designer search for March - would be sooo cool, to be chosen! So I pulled out this fabulous set Bright Days to make this card. I did generational stamping here, using each color twice. Its pretty easy, you just have to be accurate. I cut out the sentiment banner - its from the same set and added those enamel dots. I really like this card - I always like geometrical patterns..... --X-- I finally got around to make this thank you card for Hazel frorm Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge   - I won this adorable owl  stamp set by Cupids stamps in her challenge a few weeks ago (ups...) and kept postponing making the card....sorry, Hazel, I hope you like it anyway.....The blue ovals I made form left over rubber scraps. Just in case you are not familiar with Hazels challenge - its Christmas all year round. I first thought I'll play there all year long, but I'm kind of "Christmased out" right now.....I already have a hu...

AEI♥U

The July challenge is still going on at Avery Elle  and below you see the inspiration photo. I finally own some Avery Elle stamps, although I hardly used any for this challenge.... I cut out strips of colored card stock, adhered them to white card stock and put a clear acrylic sheet behind the colored strips. It was kind of hard to photograph this card, but I think with three different views you get how it looks like... I like the middle view best, where the light reflects off the acrylic.... The sets I used were Bright Days and To the Point. --X-- Ahhh, you guys seem to like my Germany pictures - I have gotten some very nice comments about them - thank you all, I love your comments :) So here are some more pics - this time as collages. We - my son and friends of us took the train to Tegernsee and hiked up the Baumgartenschneid, which is 1444 m high. The weather was not great, so we did not have a good view, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless! ...
