Christmas in Green, Brown and Blue

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with  52CCT  - the theme is a color combination - green, brown and blue. While at first this doesn't sound really appealing it actually is a great color combo. I need to remember that one! The pretty wreath is an old Hero Arts stamp and the deer is from Poppy Stamps. the sentiment is by Taylored Expressions. I added light blue Liquid Pearls. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - green, brown and blue Ellibelles Crafty Wednesday - anything goes Just Add Ink - add wildlife

Santa Claus is coming to Town

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with 52CCT - the theme is Vellum embossing.   I started out with a light blue card stock as my base. Dry embossed the vellum with a Sizzix Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz) and sponged some purple  on it for more definition. Splattered generous white paint onto the vellum and background paper. Die cut the Santa, Reindeer (Dixi Crafts die) and squirrels (Poppy Stamps die) and added them. Heat embossed the sentiments ( Darkroom Door ) I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - Vellum embossing Christmas Kickstart challenge - Colour Palette Fun

Guest Designing at The Male Room

Hi Everyone, I have the honor to be guest designing for the current Male Room challenge , where the theme is "Love You" in a male version! Thank you so much Male Room for having me! So the blue comes out and the sweet whale from Funky Fossil Designs, that I have been itching to ink up ever since it swam into my house! As backdrop I used the pretty wavy heart by Poppy Stamps, sponge it with distress inks and added water splatters. The sentiment is an ancient one from Technique Tuesday.  I also added  some dots with a white gel pen. I hope you  will find time to play along - you have until February 18th to make a love you card for that special person in your life! Card Concept inspired Christmas Card

Hi Everyone, it has been a while that I had time for making a card other than DT cards. But the inspiration picture from The Card Concept caught my eye - see it below. I used grey card stock as base and dry embossed it with a Papertrey embossing plate.Kind of hard to see, it is quite subtle. I diecut the deer (Poppy Stamps Whittle die,s) and glued them onto wood paper. Used a thin strip of antiqued mirror paper, as the inspiration pic has some lights in it. The sentiment is from inkystamps. Added two small pearls. Holiday Greenery for Twofer

Hi Everybody, I have not played in the Twofer challenge in a while, due to time constraints. But I made sure I am not missing it this time.  I wanted to use this wonderful die I recently won in an Instagram give-away by Poppy Stamps. Thank you so much Poppy Stamps - I love this little beauty! Here are closer views of my cards: This actually was the second card as I was not willing to throw out the negative die cut I got from cutting the white sprig for my first card. Thought it might look nice adding some vellum sprigs. It think it does. Added a gold thread and selective gold foiling. Also gold foiled the sentiment (Hero Arts). I just die cut the mistletoe in 3 different colors and tied them together with a red string. Added the sentiment and stars (Mama Elephant), as well as Washi tape. Added a bit of Stickles. Happy Twofing! Also linking up with: Challenge up your Life - black and white and one color (gold, first card)

Stamp Connection #54

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 54th transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: CAS Christmas This was of course super easy to make. I took this glitzi Washi tape and dded the die cuts (Whittle dies from Poppy Stamps) I only agonized a little bit about how to place the deer and  a lot more about what sentiment to use and how to place it......funny, how things go. But I am probably not the only one agonizing about those things. I am pretty sure you all go through this process at least every once in a while.... Here is a slightly different view. It glitters really nicely! and I just love those slightly bedraggled looking deer! Lets check out   Tanj...

Whittle Winter Scene

Hi Everyone, I am starting to panic about not being able to make enough Christmas cards....so I let myself be inspired by the current CAS Christmas challenge - the theme is Winter Scene. I pulled out my cute Poppy Stamps Whittle dies and created a scene. This was really easy. I used some glitter paste after I sprayed the background with fireworks spray and added those cute little dies. And I am in a no sentiment mood at the moment - this card doesn't really need one, right? Happy die cutting! Relax with Funky Fossil Designs

Hi Everyone, I had the pleasure to play with one of my Funky Fossil Designs stencils. This one is called Shoal of Fish I first sponged the background with distress inks. Took the stencil and sponged on top with distress oxide inks. Trimmed my panel and added it to a card base with a tiny strip of patterned paper. The cute die cut fish are by Poppy Stamps and the sentiment is from Your Next Stamp,  See you next week with more inspiration! Happy stenciling!
