Happy Hanukkah

Hi Everyone, I made a quick Hanukkah card - hopefully the recipient got it by now, since Hanukkah started a few days ago... CASual Friday has this beautiful set, where the stamp is from. I heat embossed it and sponged around with distress ink. Added sequins and Stickles to the "flames" Linking up with: Less is More - one layer with something with light

Three Cards

Hi Everyone, I want to share three cards with you. the first one I made for the Muse Challenge , where Anita absolutely stunned me with her fabulous inspiration card - you'll see it below. No sure if my card does hers justice. I kind of blatantly copied it, using an ancient Hero Arts stamp. Colored it with water colors and added Wink of Stella to the blooms. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Here is  Anita's fabulous card: My second card I made for the Balloon challenge that my friend Gundi has going on at her blog Papierelle. The die cut is by Papertrey, the sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Added some Washi tape. My last card I made for this weeks Less is More challenge - the theme is one layer with leaves. Used my favorite So Suzy stamps, the  Maple Line Leaf ,   Beech Line Leaf  and the  Chestnut Leaf . Again, the sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Masked the strip and sponged with mint green ink. Added t...

Two Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone, I made two cards today - both for kids I know. The first one is going to a little boy - I hope he likes chameleons! I for sure do! I got those stamps on my recent trip to the Allentown stamp show and was itching to try them out . They are by Local King Rubber stamps . Aren't they amazing? The sentiment is by Simon Says. The chameleon on the right comes with a matching die, the other one I fuzzy cut. I mounted both with foam tape.  I am linking up this card with: Sparkle and Shine  - see inspiration photo below. Send a Smile 4 Kids - animals My second card I made with the  Shopping our Stash  challenge - You stamped with what? Such a fun theme - had to play!!! Well  I think its pretty obvious with what I stamped - my fingers. And then added some doodles. The colors I got from the current  Color Throwdown  challenge - see picture below. And then I thought I might be able to get this into  Les...

Geometric Shapes

Hi Everyone, I am sure you guessed I would play with this weeks Less is More challenge - its geometric shapes on a one layer card - two of my favorites!!!! Of course I had to pull out my favorite iStencil - this time I inked it up in reddish tones and made a dark grey background. I also masked the periphery and only concentrated on the "ball" or lets call it a circle, since we want to be geometric ;) Click on the picture and it will get you to the store :) I die cut the "birthday" - inlaid, of course to stick with one layer. Stamped the tiny happy on the side and added an enamel dot.  I am also linking up with the current Muse challenge , where the talented and creative Anita from Neet and Crafty  made a wonderful card for us to CASE. Here is her card: So, if you are wondering how this relates - well, I stuck with the orangey/red color scheme, the inlaid die-cutting and the asymmetric centering of the image - only mine is  r...

It's Raining!

Hi Everyone, again, I lucked out combining challenges... As soon as I saw the inspiration picture over at Inkspirational I knew I needed to play with them. and then things just fell into place. Less is More wants lots of white space, but no white Just us Girls wants raindrops and Sparkle and Shine offers an umbrella, although theirs has colorful polka dots, oh well, mine does not. Here is that cool photo: I took that cool umbrella stamp from Joy Clair , did some masking and sponging on grey card stock. The raindrops are by Impression obsession and the sentiment is by Papertrey. So, what  do you think - is that a perfect coincidence??? It's not raining now, but its coming - so - keep stamping!

Muse #156

Hi Everyone, I finally found time to play with the Muse challenge this week - I could not resist Michele's fabulous inspiration card... ......using Laura Bassen's camouflaging die cut technique - the outcome is guaranteed to please! I have done that before, so I didn't have to watch the video and its quite simple anyhow. You mask and sponge - I guess you could also use PP and them you die cut (keep those little pieces). Since I like to streamline things I die cut the thanks in fun foam, glued the card stock on it and fiddled it in. I love how Michele used the stencil to give it more umpfh! I did not quite sponge enough for that, so I simple added some clear embossed gems. You can see this better on the magnified picture and added some Wink of Stella and sequins. all my supplies are by Winnie & Walter. Less is More

Hi Everyone, while it has been snowing outside I have been making cards inside...  and this is one of them: Less is More lures us with "Silhouette" - so I pick one of my silhouette stamps and made this card. The circles are sponged with distress inks. I love that sassy little cat! Also linking up with: TGIF challenges - Happy Valentines Day TCP  - anything Goes ATSM - Make your mark     The day after Jonas... Happy Shoveling!

Stenciled Thank You

Hi Everyone, this is my second post today, if you are looking for the STAMPlorations inspiration post scroll down or click HERE . I am trying my luck with Less is More today - a real challenge for me! Neutral colors is the theme. Not my thing..... But here we go: I was playing again with my iStencils. This one is called WAVY STRIPES. It is brand new, I hadnot yet used it. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/6x6-ptp-108-wavy-stripes You can do really cool stuff with it, shifting it  for your second stencil layer.  To keep with the color scheme I added a Kraft stripe and sentiment (by SSS). I am also linking up with: Just us Girls - Thank you Inkspirationa l - Thank you with something new (stencil) And if you are wondering how I made this card -hop over to STAMPlorations and you'll find the tutorial for it. Happy Stamping!
