It's Snowing!

Hi Everyone, it was snowing here in NJ all day long and it is quite cold now, so what's better than playing with CASology - the theme is COLD I used an old Hero Arts stamp and my Misti (detached the rubber from  the wood block). Inked it up with different colors as you can see and added the sentiment - an even older Amuse stamp Linking up with: CASology  - Cold Snippets Playground - my snippet is the sentiment Crafty Purple Frog - don't get beaten by the winter blues Seize the Birthday - anything birthday Less is More - Ombre

Uniko Challenge

Hi Everyone, I finally own some Uniko stamps, thanks to my recent win and a generous gift certificate from Beverly, the sweet owner of Uniko stamps. I would own more stamps, if the shipping costs would not be so high....oh well, what am I complaining? I am lucky to live here in the US where most stamp companies are located.... Of course I had to use that stunning Gerbera for my card - I have had my eyes on this set literally forever! The theme for the Uniko challenge is metallics. I heat embossed in gold (WOW embossing powder) and then colored in the two outline images with my gold pigment watercolors. I then cut away the left hand corner of the black card stock, to lighten up the card a bit and used a scrap piece of an envelope liner. The sentiment is from the same set, heat embossed in white. Geometric Shapes

Hi Everyone, I am sure you guessed I would play with this weeks Less is More challenge - its geometric shapes on a one layer card - two of my favorites!!!! Of course I had to pull out my favorite iStencil - this time I inked it up in reddish tones and made a dark grey background. I also masked the periphery and only concentrated on the "ball" or lets call it a circle, since we want to be geometric ;) Click on the picture and it will get you to the store :) I die cut the "birthday" - inlaid, of course to stick with one layer. Stamped the tiny happy on the side and added an enamel dot.  I am also linking up with the current Muse challenge , where the talented and creative Anita from Neet and Crafty  made a wonderful card for us to CASE. Here is her card: So, if you are wondering how this relates - well, I stuck with the orangey/red color scheme, the inlaid die-cutting and the asymmetric centering of the image - only mine is  r...

Happy 4th Birthday!

Hi Everyone, I have been dropping followers like crazy - I hope its due to this odd google blogger thing that only lets you follow if you have a google account....but who knows - perhaps those people left me for different reasons... how sad. I treasure you, my dear followers, each and all of you :) I have a fun card I made for a little girl who is going to turn 4 really soon and I got inspired by the Seven Hills Craft Blog colors - the ones with the chili peppers, see below. Since the linky will be closing while I'll be sleeping I have to post this card today, so no posting tomorrow (probably..) The film strip die is by Poppy Stamps and the funny cat is by Waffle Flower. I inked her up with my treasured Kaleidocolor ink pad. The balloon 4 is by Avery Elle. I think she is going to like her card! CASE the Designer at HLS

Hi Everyone, I had serious mojo problems....did not even make it into my craft room.....although I did enjoy reading a fun book, which I could not put down, until I turned the last page... So finally I decided its time for another card: I am playing with the  CASE the Designer at Happy Little Stampers, caseing Kylie's wonderful card: I did a watery Brusho background and added those wonderful butterflies Kylie designed, Added some white accents with a gel pen. The sentiment is from the Mix Mash set (also HLS), stamped on a little left over strip of ware color paper - my snippet. I love how this turned out! Perhaps my mojo will come back... Dimension

Hi Everyone, Addicted to CAS has a really cool challenge going on at the moment. They want to see dimension on cards. There is quite a few ways to add dimension , but I thought I do it on an almost one layer card. Could have done one layer, but was too lazy to do an inlaid die cut...... I used an iStencil for this card and inked it with distress inks . The thanks is a die by  Simon Says, also inked it with distress inks. Added an enamel dot. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00107-r-sc   Quite cool, how much dimension you can achieve.... And you know what - today is the last day for substantial savings at iStencil   , go and check it out.....
