Woodblock Wednesday - A Very Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! I stamped the scripted tree (Hero Arts) and heat embossed it in white. Added lots of white splatters. Stamped the hedgehog (Penny Black) and bird (Inkadinkadoo) onto scrap paper, colored them and added them. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes

Woodblock Wednesday - Christmas Card Set

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! This one is an oldie, but goodie from Hero Arts (K6100). I actually detached the stamp from its woodblock and stuck it onto my Misti. Since I don't think you can continue to do that all the time I made a set, using different colors. The sentiment is also from Hero Arts (C3188). Simple one layer cards. Hope you liked this. Dotty Spiders

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the  Day of the Month Card Club  - the theme is dots. Now I do have plenty of dotty stamps, stencils and dies, but I wanted to go a different route. So I used punches and patterned paper to create those spiders. The googly eyes add another set of dots...I go inspired for those spider by Maile Belles from Simply Stamped. For the legs I used a Stampin' up spider, but the body was not big enough, so I masked of half of the spider with Scotch tape and stamped it three times. Then I masked off the other side and used a stamp positioned to get the legs into the right spot.  Glued the spider bodies over the stamped body and added the spider heads with foam tape. Added the googly eyes. Stamped the sentiment and added a thin strip of Washi tape. Christmas in Green, Brown and Blue

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with  52CCT  - the theme is a color combination - green, brown and blue. While at first this doesn't sound really appealing it actually is a great color combo. I need to remember that one! The pretty wreath is an old Hero Arts stamp and the deer is from Poppy Stamps. the sentiment is by Taylored Expressions. I added light blue Liquid Pearls. I hope you liked this. 52CCT - Sketchy Snowman

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with  52CCT  - the theme is a sketch - see below. I originally wanted to combine this challenge with the Woodblock Wednesday challenge, but then I did not have enough time to upload my card and write this post....  Sketches are not my forte...but I made it! I used some ancient background paper, this ancient woodblock stamp from Hero Arts and ancient Washi tape. I think it's pretty self explanatory how I made this card..... I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - sketch Ellibelles Crafty Wednesday - anything goes

Woodblock Wednesday - Etched Medallion

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I used the beautiful Etched Medallion - S5356 from Hero Arts. I colored it with alcohol ink markers. I fuzzy cut the medallion.  Found a strip of matching paper. Stamped the sentiment (Stampin' up). I used foam to mount the medallion to give it some dimension. I also added Crystal Lacquer to the center - you see a little reflection in the picture below. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Woodblock Wednesday #1

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the Woodblock Wednesday challenge that Amy Tsuruta is starting over at Instagram. She also has a linky list on her blog. I have sooooo many neglected wood stamps, that are desperate for some ink. Since I am sure I don't have enough Christmas cards AGAIN.... I decided on making one more.  this was quite easy. The cat is by Rubber Soul, the tree is Hero Arts, the ornament A Muse stamps and the sentiment I have no idea. I did a little bit of coloring with markers and  white paint. Added Stickles to the tree, because everything is better with a bit of glitter! The bottom I doodled (inspired by Sandy Allnock) Happy Woodblock Stamping! California Poppy Day

Hi Everyone, I am playing along at the Day of the Month Card Club challenge - the theme is California Poppy Day. I also happen to love poppies of all kind and have this ancient Hero Arts stamp (CL449), that clearly needed to be inked up for this occasion!  I stamped the poppies and colored them with water colors. Water colored the background and sponged a bit at the bottom. Added the dots (Stamps by Judith) and the sentiment - also Hero Arts (CL150). Added two enamel dots. this card came together quite quickly! It's a one layer card  I trimmed the card and added a strip of patterned paper on the side. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Christmas in Teal, Lime and Purple

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the color challenge at  52 CCT  and combining it with the  challenge Just us Girls  .  I stamped the sentiment first (old Hero Arts set). I used an embossing folder from Alexandra Renke to add some texture. Die cut the trees in the required colors, also by Alexandra Renke and added them to the card. Added a bunch of sequins for a little sparkle. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping!
