Stempel Spass

 I have not had such a long blog break in a long time - not counting vacation weeks, but my life has been just so awfully busy....Finally I sneaked up into my craft room to play in this weeks Time Out challenge - yes girls, I am taking TIME OUT to do just that...... As you can see on my card the theme is apples. I pulled out an ancient Hero Arts set, called September, which has this pretty apple in it. The sentiment is from the same set. I heat embossed the apple outline and colored it with Copics and fuzzy cut them. Added glossy accents to make them look more yummy... The little green patch I sponged and made the lines with the edge of an acrylic block.  And if you are wondering why two apples - I am also playing in the   Extra Challenge at Time Out: "Double the Joy"!  The occasion  - Bev , one of the wonderful DT members gave birth to twins,  Josh and Ben ! You probably know Bev from her  own stamp company  Uniko Studi...

Back to school - how sad, the summer is over.... It will take some getting used to going back to the school routine. My son is a 7th grader now and my daughter will be going back to college on Tuesday.... The Twinery is setting the mood for that with their Back to the School Bus challenge. I made this card for it: The school bus I got from the internet and printed it onto yellow paper. I paper pieced the windows. the children in the bus i made with my fingerprints and doodles their hair and faces. The bus tires I made with twine and a brad in the center.  I popped the bus up with foam dots for dimension. Some Washi tape, a Hero Arts sentiment and a twine bow to finish it off.
