Stempel Spass

We had such a gorgeous spring day today and I was busy all day long preparing for a course I have ot give in May and cleaning up my house.... But then I needed a break and made a card - what else would I do....?  I made it for the    AEI♥U Challenge  - water color and used those gorgeous colors from   Colour me...! I pulled out my favorite set from Avery Elle - Bright Days and heat embossed the two triangles. I water colored around them, creating a background and then stamped the triangles again in the challenge colors. Added some splatters.  The sentiment is from the Avery Elle set - Fanfare. Added some Paper Candy, colored with Copics. I hope you like it, I sure do! And now back to work.... Have a great weekend and thank you for all your lovely comments! Avery Elle's challenge is ending soon- just discovered this tonight, so I cooked up this card with my limited supply of their wonderful stamps - wish I had more.... The challenge is embellishments, so I added some sequins. The stamp I used is from the set called Rounded Diamonds, which I stamped 8 times in blue ink and then colored parts of it with Copics. The sentiment is from the set Fanfare. I am combining this card with  Colour me.....! which inspired me to keep it graphic.

Don't you love it - that inspiration picture from Avery Elle ? For me it makes a big difference if I am going to play in a challenge. this one really appeals to me -  probably because of those colors..... Hers is my take on it: I spritzed the background paper with Mr. Huey. I hung the banners from a piece of twine, fastened with bards - after I fuzzy cut them from paint swatches. I like the semi-glossy finish of those and they are nice and sturdy. All stamps are Avery Elle. Added some enamel dots. Since I finally have some Avery Elle stamps in my stash I have to play in their challenge, right? Gosh,I am such a challenge junkie.....                   So here I am combining  Color Throwdown  with AEI♥U  and Seize the Birthday : I used the set called Fanfare for this card. I modified the sketch a tad.... And I glittered up the cake, look really yummy in real life. Does not project quite as well in the photo....
