Topflight Stamps - Bloom Bookmarks

Hi Everyone, This week it's anything goes on the  Topflight blog .  I decided on making some bookmarks with the pretty Darkroom Door Chrysanthemums. I used water color paper for my background. Sprinkled Brushos (yellow and blue) onto the paper and generously added water to have the colors blend. You can used regular watercolors for this as well.  I stamped the blooms and added a bit of focal color as well as some highlights with a Posca pen. Stamped the sentiment. Lastly I added some ribbons. I dabbed away some of the color from the above bloom, as it was a bit too dark for my taste. I alos added a bit of color to the leaves. On the bookmark below I added a texture stamp on the side and colored it in a bit. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Beautiful Blooms , Abstract04 Reading , Brusho Yellow , Brusho Prussian Blue Linking up w...

I lightly colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. Added them to a page from the Bright Botanicals paper pad . die cut an opening on the top of the bookmark and threaded a ribbon through it. The lovely sentiments are from the set Spellbound.  Supplies I used: Bright Botanicals paper pad Be a Panda I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping!   Linking up with:

Funky Fossil Designs - New January Release Day 5

Hi Everyone, The new January release coming into the shop on Friday at  Funky Fossil Designs !  Today is the fifth day of the stamp reveal. This set is called Spellbound and is designed by Charlotte Blackwood. I thought it is perfect for making a new bookmark. The stack of books is not that high, but it's easy enough to mask it and make it taller. Colored it with Copics. Die cut it to size and mounted it on a bronze shimmer paper background. This new release not only included several new stamp sets, but there will also be new dies, Washi tape and a fantastic paper pad. You'll see it all on Friday, the release day. A lot to look forward to! Don't forget to visit the DT blogs  for amazing inspiration from those talented girls! Topflight Stamps - Stamperia

Hi Everyone, It's  Topflight Stamps   day!  This week we are featuring stamps by Stamperia. Stamperia makes vintage stamp motifs using red rubber - for sure the best stamping material.  Now vintage is not really my thing, so I struggled a bit...... I decided to make a bookmark with this book pile stamp. I really liked that one. And I could use another bookmark anyhow. I rummaged through my stash of paper pads and found one I thought was suited as background. Stamped on it and colored with Copics. The stamp set did not come with a sentiment, so I went with this one by Visible Image Stamps. In the end i could not resist to put on the little sassy mouse from Katzelkraft, since I thought the bookmark was a bit lopsided. Used some slimline dies to cut out my bookmark. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. Here are the stamp supplies I used: Use code  F UNSTAMPING ...

Katzelkraft Bookmark

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post.  I am always on the lookout for new ideas for my DT posts. This time it came in in form of the Male Room challenge where the current theme is "anything but a card" and the guest designer A.Rose  made a charming bookmark to go along with a book. So I figured I "steal" this idea...... I am reading this fascinating book right now - " Never Home Alone " by Rob Dunn, who explores the natural wilderness in our homes, which is mostly hidden from our eyes, but includes a myriad of bacteria, fungi and small critters. Its an easy read and if you are looking for a good book to read I can highly recommend it (no affiliations with the author or amazon). Of course I had to use my Katzelkraft insects for this - the mushroom is also Katzelkraft. I die cut myself a strip of card stock, sponged with distress inks and stamped. I colored with water brush pens and markers. Used bleach to get the white accents back....
