Celebrate!

Hi Everyone, I have to celebrate with the Paper Players - it's their 300 challenge - what a milestone! Congratulations, Paper Players - quite an accomplishment! And they are still as popular as ever! I am looking forward to the next 300 challenges! Here is my card: I took my brand new Waffle Flower set and stamped the little monkey on watercolor paper and colored her with water colors. Stamped the bananas and masked them and sponged the background. Added the sentiment - Neat&Tangled and enamel dots. The monkey is mounted with foam tape and fuzzy cut. I thought she looks more like a party girl if I give her googly eyes... Almost forgot - added some splatters. Linking up with: The Paper Players Waffle Flower CAS(E) this Sketch Happy Stamping!

Skateboarding into several Challenges

Hi Everyone, I have not made a card in a few days now and I really wanted to make one tonight, but I wasn't sure what to do.... ....until I saw this weeks  CAS(E) this Sketch and then it clicked! Of course I had to squeeze in a color challenge and this week's  Color Throwdown  supplied just the right colors for what I had in mind. And what's even better I also could incorporate the theme for the  Shopping our Stash  challenge - something for the big boy! Now what a fortunate coincidence! A three in one! The stamp is ancient - bought a long time ago on one of those stamp fares and so far NBUS. The sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers, the set is called Mix Mash . I love it - great fonts and happy birthday in all sorts of different sizes. I stamped the skateboarder and masked him and then sponged the strip. Really quick. - Added an enamel dot, although I was wondering if it would trip that skateboarder and catapult him off his board.....

A Warm Welcome to 4 new Members and 2 Challenges

It has been a while since my last new member greeting and I have now 4 new members who joined my blog - I made it past 150! I found two fun challenges to combine. Taheera always finds those wonderful inspiration pictures and the  AEI♥U Challenge  - make your won designer paper is just up my alley! I used t...

CAS(E) this Sketch #62

I have not played at CAS(E) this sketch in a long time.....But here I am with  a card for it:  I used the STAMPlorations set  Retro Mod Shapes  to make this card. I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed the paper strip with clear embossing powder and then sponged in green and reds. The dots on the side are a TCW stencil. The sentiment is Hero Arts. Its kind of hard to photograph it right, so I took three pictures..... I am also linking this card with the Snippets Playground  - used snippets only (except the card base) Less is More - Rainbow - well - it has most colors of the rainbow... Dream Valley challenges  - no designer paper

A card for several challenges and welcome to a new Member!

I can't believe I did not get to my blog in 5 days.....But good news - I have a new blog follower to welcome! Sathya    her blog is called Expressive Creations  and she employs a broad spectrum of styles and techniques - beautiful work to find there. I am glad you found my blog. Here is your welcome picture: This is a quilt by Ellen Anne Eddy and called Skinny dipping. I discovered it on a recent visit at the Morris Museum in Morristown. I hope you like it! And now finally -  a card! I used the Paper Smooches set Chubby Chums. I colored the moose with Copics and fuzzy cut it. The cardbase I ran through y Big Shot, using the Papertrey Linen embossing plate. It give it a subtle texture, which does not show well in the picture, but makes it look really pretty.  The moose is elevated with dimensional tape, some Bakers twine to gibe it some sparkle! I am linking this card up with Paper Smooches anything goes challe...

Fresh Squeezed stamps Birthday Bash #2

One more card for the  Fresh Squeezed stamps Birthday Bash. I combined it with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge - its such a beautiful layout! I inked up my  Everyday Expressions  stamp set with Delicata ink. I added some scor lines, although its hard to see them in the picture. Th e  sequins are from Neat and Tangled. I put strips of golden shimmer paper on the sides. It looks quite elegant in real life.  I am also linking this up with the Moxie Fab challenge - All that Glitters is gold and Seize the Birthday  - my topping are the sequins!

Tuesday Trigger combined with CAS(E) this Sketch #33

This is my second post today..... I'll soon be going on vacation for 2 weeks and I have to get my card obsession satisfied, before I go...... The Trigger is expiring in a few hours.... I have been thinking about it now for quite a while, since I wanted to use my new Papertrey Square Prints set.....                                                  The inspiration finally hit me, when I came up with the idea to combine it with Case this Sketch layout. The sentiment is Papertrey Modern Basics and I added three brads. I off-set the sentiment to balance out the card. I really like it! And the best is - its a masculine card - something I normally suck at, badly.....

10 minute craft dash combined with CAS(E) this sketch

Again I combined two challenges - the 10 minute craft dash and CAS(E) this sketch : Here are the a"requirements":                 And here is my card: I used a punch for the circle, the bird is from Memory Box - perched Reed Bird,. I embossed the blue paper with the Papertrey Woodgrain embossing plate. The sentiment is an ancient Heidi Grace stamp. Little enamel dots for the eyes..... Thankfully we don't have to add up the time it takes to think about what we do, to get all the supplies and to clean up afterwards.... just making the card took 9 minutes and 13 seconds. I wish you all a beautiful and relaxing weekend. Not sure how much relaxing I'll get to do... we have our local library sale, which I love to go to, the Hero Arts scramble is on flickr today and my in-laws are coming over  tomorrow - that means cooking and cleaning.....

KIS #15 combined with CASE this sketch

Schwarzer Hintergrund - black background is the theme at the  KIS challenge #15 I also wanted to play in this weeks CASE this Sketch  #31 and therefore I combined them both. I love my Hero Arts Feathers set - perfect to use for this sketch..... The stripes I made with Perfect Pearls, the sentiment is Papertrey Happy Trails and the hearts I have laying around since Valentine's Day - I squirted Liquid Pearls on them and let it dry Here is a close-up: I wish you all a great weekend and thank you very much for your sweet comments! I so much appreciate them!

CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #5

Just a very quick post - before the sketch challenge closes! ( http://casethissketch.blogspot.com  ) I love their layouts. Unfortunately I missed the last two challenges - hurricane Sandy interfered. For this card I used Purple onion design sentiment strip. The bird is from Inkadinkadoo, clear embossed and  I used various punches.
