Katzelkraft - Forgotten English Words IV

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I discovered this cool Instagram feed, called  the.language.nerds  and their post about forgotten English words that are very relevant today. This got me thinking I should create cards for those words. I made a mini series and here is my fourth card: In case you want to see my previous cards: The first card you can find  HERE The second card you can find  HERE The third card you can find  HERE I stamped the skinny critter onto the card and masked him. Added the chess figures and brushed the sky background with an Altenew stencil. Masked the floor and did some more brushing. Added some shadows for the chess figures and the critter.  I printed out the word and explanation on my printer.  Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamp I used is from the following set: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Les Branches  - KTZ245,  (FRANCE) ...

Katzelkraft Calendar - November

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I associate November with bad weather - probably dates back to the many years I spent in Germany......Here in the US it's not that bad actually. I started out stamping the Windy  Day Girl. I took the Water Wall stamp and stamped over the page. I dabbed on Crystal Lacquer onto some of the rain drops and let it dry. I masked the girl and umbrella. I used a cloud stencil (Altenew) for the background and stenciled with distress inks. I colored the girl with water brush pens.   I masked off the ground and bushed with green and brown distress inks. I added the calendar part on some black background paper. I stamped the frog (or whatever it is) onto scrap paper and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out. I added the frog to my page. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Windy Day Girl  - SOLO105,  Australiens  - KTZ225,  Water Wall  - KTZ 146 ( FRANCE) Windy Day G...

Crackerbox Stamps - Hogs and Kisses

Hi Everybody!  I made this card with some of the older stamps from  Crackerbox Stamps . They are still fabulous and just need to see some ink every once in a while.   Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. I first stamped the pig twice. Colored them with Copics. Added the wall - a stencil from Altenew.   Added the sentiment, but wiped the ink of the "U" in Hugs and then turned to into an "O". Used a stitched die to cut the card a bit smaller and mounted it onto a black background. Added two enamel dots. The stamps I used: Pig hanging on Hugs, Kisses and Wishes I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping!

Katzelkraft Calendar - February

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar. I am quite happy with my second page.  Of course February is dedicated to Valentine's Day. Looking forward to the next 10 months! I first stamped the dogs. They have only eyes for each other...Colored them with water brush pens and masked them. Created the background with help of a stencil (Altenew). Stamped the grass. Stamped the hats and tie onto scrap paper, colored them, cut them out and added them.  Added the branches. Added the calendar. And then I thought it needs a rat....Doesn't everything look better with a rat, LOL? I had some precut rats and choose one. Put it on top of the calendar. Any suggestions for March? I am open to ideas.... The stamps I used are from the following sets: Dogs - KTZ161,  Rats - KTZ179 ,  Herbs Folles  - KTZ256,   Funny  Accessories   - KTZ 156   ( FRANCE) Dogs - KTZ161,  Rats - ...

Day of the Month Card Challenge - Duster

Hi Everyone, may I introduce Duster to you. He is sadly reading the Daily Beast - his favorite newspaper, but what he is sad about you will hear in the near future - my friend Darnell has brilliantly concocted a story about him - keep posted! I just wanted to again remind you about our little Day of the Month Card Challenge   - its national Puppy Day until the end of the month. I hope you will have time to link up. It also is our 1st blog birthday and we have fabulous sponsors lined up. Nor sure from what company Duster is - Darnell gifted him to me. The cute   fire hydrant  is by  Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps, and the cityscape stencil is by Altenew. The newspaper I drew.  Happy National Puppy Day and stay healthy!
