Katzelkraft - The Rats are Escaping!

Hi Everyone, it's Katzelkraft Wednesday! I went to a craft fair on Saturday and there I saw a cool stencil from Colorful Life Designs that unfortunately was to big for an A2 card. But it got me the idea for this card. I made my own NYC sewer manhole cover and what better than having the rats come out of it? Les Rats des Villes I made the manhole cover with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder and circle die cuts. The NYC sewer I printed on my computer. The sentiment is by Technique Tuesday. Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! If you feel the urge to buy any Katzelkraft products, you can also order them in the US from those companies:  Lost Coast Designs ,  Topflight Stamps  or  Frantic Stamper  Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Stamps  - animal antics Just us Girls - embossing folder Archi-Scraps - squeeze it in  (my rat is squeezin...

STAMPlorations Sketch challenge #11

I am a little late here with my blog post for the new STAMPlorations challenge - it started this morning,  but I forgot to write up my blog post...but better late than never, right?  So, here’s the sketch for this challenge. It’s open to interpretation. Feel free to change the orientation of the sketch, use different shapes, add other elements to suit the type of paper craft you’re making, and so on — just make sure the sketch is recognizable in your submission(s).  You can use stamps by other companies to create projects that you enter to our challenges, although if you have STAMPlorations stamps in your stash, we'd be tickled if you use them! And here is my card: I pretty much used the sketch, just rotated it.   I used the Happy Sentiment Builder from the upcoming release and heat embossed it. I mounted it with foam tape. The card base I ran through my Big Shot with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder and lightly sponged it.  Our g...

TAWS #44 and some more Christmas cards

I am back into the swing of things with another card I made yesterday for the TAWS challenge . I used the freebies that are available on the TAWS website. Here is the inspiration photo: And that's my card: You gotta love this pink Christmas tree! Anyhow I loved it so much - I put three of them on my card, colored with Copics. If you mag up the inspiration photo you'll see that there is a white painted brick wall, which I mimicked with the embossing folder - Lifestyle Crafts. The ornaments and two of the trees are elevated with foam dots and I used Twine from the Twinery. I am also linking this card with the CHNC challenge  extra- anything Christmas and the regular CHNC challenge   --X-- I also want to share with you some more Christmas cards my blogging friends surprised me with: This lovely card is from Diane - she is from Alabama - such a cool card! she digitally creates all her images - amazing! Paper Smooches and Manhattan Walking Tour

Remember that I did some walking through Manhattan last weekend? Well on Sunday my friend set me up and was still home when I already was at the arranged meeting spot. I was furious - I am German and therefore punctuality was drilled into me from day one on..... Having somebody wait for over an hour is just not something I can handle very well.....So when I found out I decided to walk 20 blocks south (and 2 long blocks east) to the Ink Pad - the fantastic stamp store in Greenwich village, to spend my time in a more useful way....Turned out the the Ink Pad does not open before 12pm on a Sunday - what a disappointment! But it was after 12 when my friend actually showed up and since I was waiting nearby we decided to go there after all.  Long story short I did some shopping.... Ever heard of shopping therapy? It does wonders sometimes..... I bought myself that cute Paper Smooches set Forest Whimsy - (among some other goodies) - I had my eye on it now for a while. Bac...
