Hi Everyone,  today is the second day of our blog hop at  STAMPlorations  featuring those fabulous stencils Shery keeps designing!!!! STAMPlorations Inspiration #13

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  The DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise.  For this post we are all using older stamp sets - to entice you to pull out yours and start playing! For this card I am using the set  Bloom Sketches . Stamped those gorgeous poppies once on card stock and once on a scrap piece of card stock. Colored them with water colors. Cut out the blooms on on the scrap paper piece and mounted them with foam tape, to give it some dimension. Added some gold wash and splatters.  The sentiments are from  MOM Subway Art Builders #2 - Grace in Each Step . Remember - Mothers Day is coming up..... So, if you are up for it - CASE (preferably- wink, wink) my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. The InLinkz gallery  will be open until the 5th of April - gives you plenty of time! One ...

STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #26

Hi Everyone -  sorry for the late posting, but here is our new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations - don't worry  you'll have two weeks to link up: Simple and pretty! Here is the card I made for it: I used    Trendy Butterflies   and  Mini Mixed Media Backgrounds  to make the side strip, but before I stamped the butterflies I directly applied metallic ink and chalk in to the paper to get abase coloring for the strip. I like the shimmer of it. For the sentiment I went with  Bloom Sketches  . Here is a closeup, where you can see that shimmer better: I also added tiny gems to the antennae.         So, go and visit the STAMPlorations blog - great inspiration there to find and we also have a talented guest designer for this challenge - its Maria from Bulgaria , who shares a delightful card with us. I won't be part of the challenge team any longer at STAMPlorations, so this ...

STAMPlorations Monthly Challenge 15

Hello my friends,  the New Year has started and we have an exciting new challenge for you, here at  STAMPlorations ! the theme is: What do you think of that? Don't we always use inks when we are stamping - there is no other way....so that got me thinking to do something different. and here is my take on it: For this card I played with alcohol INKS, have ing them drip down on glossy card stock (by Ranger). The ink kind of seeps into the paper giving you those fuzzy margins (not happy about this, but nothing I can do about it....) - I wanted clean margins. Guess I have to hunt for different paper....but regardless I loved the way this turned out.  Added some black strips on the side and the wonderful sentiment is by STAMPlorations - Subway Art Builders: Create . The pink twine of the side does not look quite as pink in real life - it is closer to the alcohol ink color... For my second card I used    VIGNETTE: Eat Drink Be ...
