Katzelkraft - New Release IV

Hi Everyone, I am sure by now you have seen that there is a new stamp release from  Katzelkraft. It is awesome!  I figured I combine the vintage Citroen 2cv with the duck, as in German this car was called "Ente" - the German word for duck.  The 2CV has often been referred  to as the ugly duck over the years, especially in the German market , who produced the The “Sauss Ente”. NOt sure if the giraffe is qualified to drive that car....I think it just barely passed its drivers license.... I stamped the duck first, did a bit of masking and then stamped the Citroen. Istamped the giraffe on a piece of scrap  paper and cut it out. I colored them with alcohol ink markers. I cut slits into the car and fiddled in the giraffe. Used a bit of foam tape to get some dimension on the head. Trimmed the card and added a strip of patterned paper on the side.  Stamped the sentiment ( Enjoy Quotes ).  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Farm Animals ...

Katzelkraft - Forgotten English Words III

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I discovered this cool Instagram feed, called  the.language.nerds  and their post about forgotten English words that are very relevant today. This got me thinking I should create cards for those words. I made a mini series and here is my third card: The first card you can find  HERE The second card you can find  HERE I printed out the word and explanation on my printer. Stamped the elephant and colored it with alcohol ink markers. I masked it  and   made the background with a stencil from  Funky Fossil . Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamp I used is from the following set: Les Jungles - KTZ168,  (FRANCE) Les Jungles - KTZ168   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft - Go Ahead, Make My Day!

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I had to pull out that chess set again - It just is so much fun to play with! I decided to add some weird Zebras to my board, LOL! I first stamped the Zebra with the sweater and masked it. I then added the chess pieces and the board. I stamped the bowling pin Zebra onto scrap paper, colored the Zebras with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. I extended the chess board a bit. Sponged the background (masking the "sun").  I heat embossed the sentiment and added it to the card.  The stamps I used are from the following set: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Les Jungles  - KTZ168, Les Quilles - KTZ233,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276   ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Jungle Animals  - KTZ168, Les Quilles - KTZ233,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Tha...

Katzelkraft Collage Card #2

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I decided to make another card with that little home furnishing catalog I got in the mail. The first one I made you can see HERE . It's actually a lot of fun to do - choosing the animals and fitting them into that environment. I chose one of the dogs and the monkey from the Jungles set. I colored them with Copics and fuzzy cut them. I heat embossed the sentiment (Dylusions stamps- Dyan Reavely) and added it to the card.  The stamps I used are from the following set: Les Jungles - KTZ168,  Les Chiens  - KTZ161  ( FRANCE) Jungle Animals  - KTZ168,  Dogs - KTZ161  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft - Pursue your Dreams

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am playing along with the Artpoetry challenge over at Instagram. This week its about ephemeral poetry. I have been really enjoying this challenge so far! See the picture below that inspired me to make this card. I used a page form the  Chalkboard Papers  pad for my background. I stamped the hippo and fuzzy cut him. Added a "skirt" that I made from a flower die. Stamped the sentiment and added it. Trimmed my card base and added a strip of patterned paper at the bottom. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Les Jungles   - KTZ168   ( FRANCE) Jungle Animals  -  KTZ168 (USA) The delightful inspiration picture: It's by David Zinn , a street artist I greatly admire Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft -- Lets spend the Knight together

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I figured the chess set needed more ink. I stamped the chess pieces and heat embossed them  in black. Loosely water colored the background. Also decided to color the knight. I stamped the Zebra from the Jungle set and colored it. Cut it out and added it to the card. My husband came up with the sentiment. I printed it with my computer. I had no fitting sentiment in all of my stamp supply - amazing how that goes, right?! Lastly I trimmed the bottom a bit and added a strip of black card stock at the bottom. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Jungles - KTZ168 ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Les Jungles - KTZ168   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting!
