Funky Fossil Designs - Oh the Places you'll go!

Hi Everyone, I made this with one of the new January release sets and one of the older  Funky Fossil Designs  sets. For stamps link see below. The little boat is from the new set called Going Places and is designed by Donna Grey. You all know what a huge fan I am of her stamps. So I am delighted I get to play with another one of her sets. I stamped the boat and all the animals on scrap paper, colored them with Inktense and markers and cut them out. Tore up a page from the Patina paper pad and used them for the waves. The giraffe is from the " On Safari" set. The sentiment is heat embossed. It is from the same set. Rounded the bottom right corner. The supplies I used: Patina paper pad Going Places  (boat) On Safari (giraffe) Weird Fish Furry Friends (dog) Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Just us Girls  -  Simon Says Monday challenge  -

Funky Fossil Designs - Melonize

Hi Everyone, there is this fun challenge on Instagram by Pepitahasenkeks  to "melonize" animals. I thought that those fabulous stamps by Donna Grey  from  Funky Fossil Design  are perfect for this!  Maybe I went a bit overboard, but I melonized my entire card, LOL! The sets I used: Hogs and Kisses           Bees Knees I water colored my background and stamped with a bit of masking. I probably should have sponged it, too late now......I sponged the pig, everything else I colored with water brush pens. Stenciled  the clouds - again, should have done this first, but did it last.... Regardless of my haphazard approach - I had a lot of fun!  Happy Melonizing!  Hi Everyone, time to celebrate.  It's  Funky Fossil Designs  2nd birthday! It has been so much fun being on the DT and watch this company grow and expand! I am sure it will continue to grow, as Sarah Gray is amazingly creative and is the driving mind behind everything. As thank you Sarah will add this wonderful stencil as a free gift to all orders placed in her store during the month of January, starting today! Yeah!!! I did some rainbow stenciling with distress oxide inks. The cute pig is from the set  Hogs and Kisses  , see below:     Hogs and Kisses                                Birthday Stencil I stamped the pig and the balloon on a piece of scrap paper, colored them and cut them out. Stamp Connection #49

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements: no card, no tag Now you can admire it from all directions ;) I took one of those little framed canvasses and stamped the adorable kittie on it. The other stamps are from Basik&Co - ancient stamps. But the kittie needed some friends..... You see that the bird and the mouse are hiding on the sidelines - they don't want to end up like those fish, LOL For coloring I used anything I had on hand - mixed media, if you will. I sprayed it with varnish - hopefully the colors won't come off. Lets check out   Tanja's artwork! Happy Stamping! Linking up w...

Sweet Mathilda

Hi Everyone, today I have a special post, as I got this very special stamp hand carved from my friend Donna Grey, know an Inkyandquirky on Instagram. I made it a while ago and waited for the card to arrive at her house before I show it, but the American postal workers must have been utterly confused where the United Kingdom is, despite me making sure and also writing ENGLAND on the letter, but the card came back....So I sent it out again and its about time to show it here The tiny mouse is by Basik&Co, the thank you strip is an ancient Hero Arts stamp and the "so sweet" - I can't remember. Its such a long time ago that i made that card.....As usual I colored with Inktense, but Mathilda - that's how I named the kittie got an undercoat of white acrylic paint. Isn't Mathilda sweet - I love her big blue eyes! Donna hand carves a lot of stamps - some of them you can buy from Rubberdance or from That's Crafty Linking up with:   Night...
