Topflight Stamps - Birthday

Hi Everyone, This week it's all about the big birthday of Topflight Stamps! We had a birthday hop on the  Topflight blog  on Tuesday, but you can still hop along and win some fantastic prizes. Furthermore there is a 20% discount on all merchandise! So what are you waiting for???? You might remember my last blog post for Topflight stamps where we featured paints. As I told you, I made a bunch of backgrounds with my gel press plate. And I used one of those for this card.   I stamped those wonderful candles from Darkroom Door onto the background. Colored them with water colors. Stamped the candles again and heat embossed them in white. Colored them with Copics. Stamped the turtle and bee onto scrap paper, colored them with Copics and fuzzy cut them. Trimmed the background paper. Arranged everything on the card and glued it down. Heat embossed the sentiment and fuzzy cut it as well. Added it. Mounted it onto a dark blue card base. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you

Colored with watercolors and a few marker accents. Stamped the grass (masked again) and stamped the goose. Stamped it again onto scrap paper, colored it and cut it out. Sorry to keep it all crammed into one post, but I just got the stamps and was pressed for time to produce at least something for the previews.... The first card is made with the delightful set "Waters Edge" by Claire Brooking. It looks like you can use it to illustrate a children's book - very sweet. I stamped on a page of the new Shibori paper pad that is part of this new release. My second card is made with the set "Architecture". For all the history lovers out there and travelers who like to visit ruins. I made an alcohol ink background and stamped with Staz-On ink. The paper strip on the side is from the Monochrome paper pad My last card for today is made with the set "Treetop Lane" and is designed by Elena Zinski - you probably recognize her distinct, funky style! I paired it up wit

Topflight Stamps - Surprise

Hi Everyone, This week it's all about paint on the Topflight blog . Time to give my Fresco paints some love. I pulled out my gel press pad and went to work on some backgrounds. Hard to put  a stop to it - I always create a whole lot of them, but they come in really handy at times! I selected one of them. The orange blob in the middle looked like a balloon to me. So that's where the inspiration came from.  I rummaged through my stamps and thought the Katzelkraft rabbit would be the best animal to hold the balloon. Stamped him onto the card and then again onto scrap paper, colored him and cut him out. Did the same with the fly - was not in the initial plan, but then thought it would be a great counterpoint. Stamped the greenery and glued the animals onto the card. Added the heat embossed sentiment. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Rabbits - KTZ271,    Weeds  -KTZ272
