Twofer Card Challenge #2

Hi Everyone, here come my last minute projects for the Twofer Card Challenge #2 . The theme is heart. Not so easy.....  First I couldn't think of what heart to use and then once I decided to make my own heart stamp from a die and fun foam what to do with it.... Well, you see what I came up with: Card #1 is done with generational stamping. I used my new Catherine Pooler inks for this and they are fabulous. The big sentiment is by Neat&Tangled.Mounted it onto a black card base. Card #2 uses the same heart, but sideways. I turned it into fish - doodles some fins and added googly eyes. The awesome bubbles are by Ryn Tanaka. It's about time to use them again....The die cut at the bottom is from Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Your Next Stamp. So, here you have it - same stamp, different themes, completely different cards, jumbled brain, puh......! Linking up with: Twofer Card Challenge  - hearts Simon Say...

A Graduation and a Card

Hi Everyone, we had a big celebration on Sunday - our daughter graduated Biomedical Engineering with highest honors (summa cum laude) from college!!!!! Yeahhh! We are so excited! She always was an outstanding student and she still is. I made that card for her: I made the graduation cap with a diamond die by Lifestyle Crafts and just cut the bottom part by hand. Made the tassel with embroidery gold thread an dadded some left over sequins from aprior project. The gold dots I  made with a stamp by  Avery Elle - Circle it and WOW embossing powder. The die cut sentiment is by Papertrey. Here is our daughter showing off her decorated cap: And here are both of my kids in front of the Biomedical Engineering building on Campus: Another view of my card: I am linking up with: Curtain call - Totally Tassel Friday Mashup - all about grads The Pink Elephan t - Graduation      And I have another car...

Fusion Challenge

Hi Everyone, just trying to get my card in in time for the  Fusion  challenge - I have not played there in a long time... I used wood patterned paper, die cut the hearts with nesting Lifestyle Crafts heart dies. The flower is by Memory Box, I lightly colored it with pencils. The sentiments are Simon Says stamps - from the same set - Sending and Wishing (sss101475) I love how this turned out - different from the usual red/pink heart Valentine's Day cards! I am also linking this card with the  Simon Says flickr goup  - Love theme - stamps by SSS with Flashback Friday  - Got flowers and with Shopping our stash  - love theme      We got a bit of snow last night - finally winter has arrived here - happy shoveling!

STAMPlorations and Time Out Challenge

Hi, STAMPlorations is the sponsor for the current Time Out Challenge , which is starting today! The theme is Valentine's Day with the optional twist of Hearts.  I sure used quite a few hearts here: I started with water color paper and made a rough heart with orangy and red Brushos. Waited for it to dry...... In the meantime I took vellum in different shades white - pink, (although you can't really see the gradation in the picture) and die cut it with Lifestyle Craft dies. I then sewed the hearts to the paper. The sentiment is from the brand new Stamplorations set -  Sentiment Builders: Love . I LOVE it! Lastly I threaded 4 tiny silver beads onto the loose threads. STAMPlorations will provide 2 prizes: a $15 gift certificate (randomly chosen from all Time Out entries) and a stencil pack ($10 value; randomly chosen from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog). You may want to visit the STAMPlorations blog to see the other fabulous cards our D...
