CASEing Christmas with a Crazy Bird

Hi Everyone, my crazy birds wanted to come out and play with me, so I took the little timid (or sassy?) one and gave him a hat so he won't get cold in the winter scene I put him in.... I embossed the background with an embossing folder. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted and I added some Hero Arts snowflakes. Here is Mynn's fun snowman Holiday card - you can see that I kept pretty close to the original with my interpretation. I also added some puff paint to the border of my "landscape" and added Stickles to the hat. Linking up with: CASEing Christmas - see inspiration card above Twofers  - Sassy  Mod Squad challenge - anything with wings

CASEing Christmas

Hi Everyone, do you know that CASEing Christmas is now a monthly challenge???  I love those. And it also pairs up quite well with this month Memory Box challenge - Cool thoughts for warm days. Time to get my gorgeous Memory Box dies to good use. I also wanted to do that Perfect pearl technique again that Jennifer McGuire showed us and I wanted to do a twist on that. So I inked up my entire card with distress inks - I used three different ones, although the Perfect pearls really almost overpower the color gradient. You can see it a little bit.  Here is that amazing CASE card by the talented Steph from One Crafty Chica : Such an amazing card!!!! I die cut the Frostyville Border from Memory Box using shimmer paper. I also dry embossed the die on the opposite side of the card. Added the sentiment - it is an ancient one by Magenta stamps.  And lastly I added a thin strip pf patterned Paper for balance.  Happy Stamping!

One Layer Christmas CASE

Hi Everyone, I am combining two Christmas challenges here. One is CASEing Christmas , where my blogging friend Rosi  made a beautiful card for us to CASE - you'll see it below. And the second challenge is Shery's One Layer Christmas card challenge . Here the optional twist is use an angel.  Now it does not look good in the angel department in my stash, but I have one, never used until now....its from Inkadinkadoo. I did a lot of masking and some sponging. Used a pearlescent embossing powder by Sparkles and Sprinkles.  The sentiment is from STAMPlorations. Vignette: Christmas Block Here is Rosi's gorgeous card.  I guess I'll start now making Christmas cards - so I won't run into problems by the time Christmas rolls around, which I guess will be about ...tomorrow.... Happy Stamping!
