Festive Friday again

Hi Everybody,   I am still in Chicago, having a great time! I wanted to share a card with you that also fits the Festive Friday challenge - again I choose for a child - hopefully the adults appreciate it too....       The stamps are from Avocado stamps, except for the little Santa that peeks in from the side - he is by Paper Source. I colored it with Copics.      I hope your day is going as well as mine - Thanks for visiting!

Festive Friday and Stamplorations

Its sequins and stamps at Stamplorations  and I made this shaker card using the child theme at Festive Friday . I love shaker cards - I made them before for children's birthday cards. I put sequins and microbeads into the shaker pocket. The snowman is an old Hero Arts stamp and the sentiment is by Paper Smooches - Christmas sampler.  I embossed the white card stock with my favorite Sizzix Embossing Folder and used some snippets of patterned paper as accents. And of course this card is going to joint the  Snippets Playground    and  Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - Anything goes

My Favorite Things #147 and a Bunch of other Challenges

Another wreath card -  after I made the wreath card for the Festive Friday challenge, I discovered that the sketch from My Favorite Things is kind of similar to what I did, but did not quite cut it...But I like the card so much, that I decides to just make a second one, similar to the first.  Again I just two different kind of shimmer paper to cut the wreath - this time one of them was more glitzi. I underlayed the wreath with glitter paper - the bow is again from a paint swatch.  I added little dots of liquid pearls and a pearl for the bow. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant Merry Greetings. Here in the close-up you can kind of see how the whole card just shimmers and glitters - it is very pretty. I think I like it even more than the fist card... I am also linking this card up with  Snippets Playground  - use a snippet Rudolph's Day Inkspirational  - wreath Festive Friday challenge  - wreath ...

Wreath Christmas card

I recently go that beautiful wreath from My favorite Things and its just perfect for the Festive Friday challenge , where is wreath is wanted.... I used two different tones of shimmer paper, some Stickles and a pearl on the bow. The sentiment is from  Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings - isn't it beautiful? And guess what - I used some snippet - the bow is from a paint swatch. You know what that means - the card is going into the Snippets Playground .... I will also link it up with Rudolph's Day  and Inkspirational - the challenge is wreath and CAS on Sunday  and lastly with Simon Says Monday challenge - Anything goes

Two Peace cards

So cute, this inspiration picture from Festive Friday ! I knew exactly what to make for it - something that happens rarely when I start out making a card...But in the end I liked the byproduct more than what I envisioned at first - also not unusual....So first the byproduct, which I like better:  I had s snippet of patterned paper left over from a previous card and I used it to die cut the letters. I used the negative die cut for this card. The holly is a punch from Martha Stewart and I used little red gems for sparkle. I also cut the card stock a ta on the side and put a green panel behind it for balance. This card I will also submit to the Pixie Crafty Snippets Playground challenge . The lovely Di offers it and its a fun challenge with the only rule to use a snippet (left over scraps in American English) - I like snippet better - sounds really cute! I am also linking those cards with: X-mas on Tuesday I am not sure about the rules - maybe non...

Festive Friday #15

Festive Friday 's theme is Holiday card with a children's theme. Well, that can be anything playful I guess. I really liked the inspiration picture, but could not come up with anything that worked, so I took a completely different approach in the end.  I punched two circles into white card stock, stamped, colored and fuzzy cut the reindeer (Hero Arts Christmas Reindeer). Choose some matching background paper and used some of my washi tape. The strip with "Merry Christmas" is just patterned paper. This card was a lot more work than it looks like. I usually don't spend so much time on my cards....But its cute, I think! I am also linking it up with  Simon Says Anything Goes challenge Rudolph Day Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge
