Rainbow Stripes

Hi Everyone, a quick card made for Less is More - the theme is one layer stripes. Couldn't miss that.... Thankfully I visited Coni's blog to be reminded, that Mr. Linky is about to close.....So up in my craft room I went and pulled out the Impression Obsession striped background stamp, heat embossed it in white and sponged a rainbow over it. That in itself was a bit bland, so I stamped the Ellen Hutson rainbow and stars over it. The sentiment is from the same set. Linking up with: Less is More AAA Cards challenge - rainbow

Mazel Tov!

Hi Everyone, my neighbor needed another Bat Mitzvah card and I needed some inspirations, which I got for the gorgeous picture from Inspired by all the Little Things . Here is that picture - isn't it gorgeous? As you can see, I basically went with those bottles and ignored the flowers.... I used my peony dies from The Ton - those are my favorite flower dies. The sentiment is a concoction of Paper Smooches, Impression Obsession and Winnie & Walter. Added shimmery gold splatters with my Fine Tech Mica water colors. I am so happy with this creation! Bat Mitzvah with Concord and 9th

Hi Everyone, one of my neighbors is a big fan of my card and she ordered a Bat Mitzvah card from me. I don't do them too often, but thankfully I have some stamps at home for just this occasion. I used my new Concord and 9th flower stamps and water color paper. Did some masking, as you can see and added the sentiment, which is a combination of Paper Smooches and Impression Obsession. The tiny stars are by Papertrey. I added some black Stickles onto the flower centers (hard to see on the picture) and some sequins. The colors I got from this stunning mood board by The Heart Desires  - its for the current challenge and of course I am playing along! With colors like those I can't resist! Birthday Stripes

Hi Everyone, just a quick post - its gorgeous outside, so I don't want to spend a lot of time on the computer.... I made this card for the Ellen Hudson Pin-sights challenge : The theme is aqua - see the mood board below. I like those ice-cream cones - so two Mondo Hydrangeas from my brand new EH set and the wire basked is mimicked by those black stripes - an IO background stamp. Its very hard to get a good impression of this, even with my Misti I did not manage to get really black stripes. I would have preferred PP, but I did not have the right one....The die cut sentiment is by SSS So now I am enjoying that premature spring day we are having - funny, yesterday I was ice skating in Bryant Park.... Stamp Connection #13

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our thirteenth transatlantic get-together! And because we had one successful year we thought we invite somebody to play along to increase the fun!  This time is going to be Coni from Which Craft? I am sure you know her. If not you have to pay her a visit and admire the beautiful cards she makes - she also is one of the best commenters out there in blog land - she should have gone into creative writing!!! Seriously!!! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements and here it is:  "get inspired by a blog header" I picked Tschenny's header from Farben Froehlich  - I just love hers and honestly, what's not to love here? Stripes, dots and happy colors!  ...

It's Raining!

Hi Everyone, again, I lucked out combining challenges... As soon as I saw the inspiration picture over at Inkspirational I knew I needed to play with them. and then things just fell into place. Less is More wants lots of white space, but no white Just us Girls wants raindrops and Sparkle and Shine offers an umbrella, although theirs has colorful polka dots, oh well, mine does not. Here is that cool photo: I took that cool umbrella stamp from Joy Clair , did some masking and sponging on grey card stock. The raindrops are by Impression obsession and the sentiment is by Papertrey. So, what  do you think - is that a perfect coincidence??? It's not raining now, but its coming - so - keep stamping!

One Layer Eye

Hi Everyone, Less is More has a fun challenge  - although my card turned out to be a sympathy card. Was not planning on that, just happened.... I have those ancient Stamping Ground body parts stamps. I took the eye and also some of Ryn's teardrops . I still felt that something is missing, so I too one of my iStencils and lightly sponged the background. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00002-r-sc Now I am happy.  Linking up with Paper Pals Art  - see blow Simply Create Too - anything goes

A Card and two winners!

Hi Everyone, you probably have been waiting to see if you were one of the two lucky gals in my blog follower celebration ! Well, today is the day! I thought I'll do this the old fashioned way - having the names on little paper scraps and picking them out of a hat. So I typed up all the names from your wonderful comments you left on this blog post (orange pile) and made extras for the people who displayed my candy on their blog - the little pile on the green background And they went into a jar together..... But my son thought the honor of picking the winners should go to his hamster Akroma. Unfortunately Akroma could not decide whom to pick..... so we dumped the papers onto the rug, but Akroma just ran away..... What to do? I think we need Mr. Random.org - did you ever wonder how he looks like? Here he is - wearing an octopus disguise:  Akroma is watching, making sure there is no cheating... And we have our first winne...
