YOU & ME

Hi Everyone, I made this card for the A Blog Named Hero challenge - make the sentiment the star. I thought that  set   You and Me that I have needed to be inked up again....it has been collecting dust, LOL! I went with the colors from this weeks Cosmic Strawberry challenge - aren't they delicious?!! I first made the card without the splatters, but then I thought it looked somewhat naked. So splatters it was....Used my Simon Says rectangular stitched die to cut the white card panel and mounted it onto a Kraft base - needed to get that brown color in somehow.... Also linking up with: Inkspirational - anything goes with Kraft Simon Says Monday challenge - I scream for - obviously I scream for YOU By the way the  monthly challenge  at A2z Scrapbooking is still open through the end of the month - the theme is CAS.    You need to use Hero Arts Products. And if you need any scrapbooking items the  a2z Scrapbooki...

Rainbow Chrysanthemum

Hi Everyone, this is my second post for at  A2Z Scrapbooking  :))). Perhaps you know that we have a  CAS challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking  this month and perhaps you want to play along! I am also keeping it clean and simple with my card: I first inked up my paper in rainbow colors and then die cut it using the Hero Arts Chrysanthemum die (DI062). Glued it onto the cardstock. The sentiment is heat embossed and from the set   Hello Sunshine . I mounted it onto a scrap piece of PP and added some of the petals from the die.      I hope you will get a chance to join our  monthly challenge .    Remember - Hero Arts Products are required.  This challenge runs though the end of the month. You have a chance to win a $25 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. If you are in need of any items from the  a2z Scrapbooking store   you can use code   Cornelia15  ...

Happy Birthday Sandie!

Hi Everyone, its Sandie's  Birthday! And we are celebrating. You probably know Sandie Munro from London days . She is a very active blogger. I first go to know her from being on the team with her on STAMPlorations and now I am on the team with her on ATSM. She is one of the girls behind Time Out and she also on the Uniko team and Inkspirational- so many accomplishments!!!!!!  Happy Birthday dear Sandie! I hope you have a blast! This is for you - perhaps it arrived on time, if not it will be there shortly.... Since Sandie is a real CAS gal  - I kept it CAS for her. That cute little bird is from Hero Arts ( CL756)  as is the sentiment. The splatter is a Tim Holtz stencil and the arrow is by MME. Added glossy accents to the bird's beak - its colored with Copics. Many thanks to Kylie from Kylie is Addicted to Stamps , who organised this linky party for Sandie!!!! Join in and make this an even bigger party!!! I am linking up ...

Birthday Fishes

I recently ordered some Paper Smooches stamps (because I don't yet have enough stamps, LOL).....they are just so damn cute - hard to resist..... But anyhow this set came in handy for this weeks Paper Smooches challenge . The inspiration picture is below - subtle stripes in blue, yellow and soft pink. I used the fish from the set Birthday Buddies, stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed it in silver - those jars have a silver lid. I made a mask for the fishes and then used a Memory Box stencil to sponge the stripes waves. I colored the fish with Copics - stripes here as well.   You see the silver embossing better on the oblique image, straight on it looks like black ink....  Added the sentiment and bubbles (with glossy accents) and a jute bow. this is a one layer card, which qualifies it also for the A Blog named Hero challenge - which is collaborating with Paper Smooches right now I will also link up with KIS - add a bow Seize the Birthd...

Colour me....#3

I just love my new STAMPlorations set called   Retro Mod Shapes . The  possibilities  with set are endless! So I played around today and that's what I came up with: Added a Hero Arts sentiment and some enamel dots. It looks like a lot of work, but it is not. this was very quick to make. The colors I took from the colour me....! challenge - such a pretty inspiration picture. I am also linking this with the One-layer simplicity challenge  - restock your shelves - giving those ladies over there quite a work-out with my cards (I believe there is no limit on the entries - well, they probably gonna change that right now...) and Seize the Birthday - anything birthday - topping coloring A Blog named Hero - New Year - New Stash - used my brand new Stamplorations set, but my trusty old favorite Hero Arts sentiment set and lastly Addicted to CAS  - NEW - the stamp set is brand new, so its perfect for this challenge! I wish you a great weekend ...

I am happy to tell you that my blog has grown again and two new members have found their way over to my blog! I want to send a warm welcome to  Sandra and  Debra Both are accomplished stampers and their blog are fun to visit - lots of inspiration to be found - hop on over, if you have time. Thanks Ladies for joining my blog. And as always, I picked a welcome picture for you: This masterpiece can be right now found at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and is knitted by  Tatyana Yanishevsky . I took the picture from the internet (usually I take my own), but the way it was hung there made it impossible to take decent pictures..... It quite amazing and was definitely worth while the trip. I hope you like it. I certainly do. So intricate, this Tigerlily, quite amazing! But now, back to card making... I made this for the Less is More challenge  - its one layer hearts this week.  The little hearts are stamps by Judith, the bea...
