Woodblock Wednesday - Just Hoppin

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! I used a lot of them for this simple card! I first stmaped teh lilipad and masked it. Masked off a strip and bushed it in blue. Stamped the leaping for and fly. I colored them with Copics. Stamped the little frog and cut him out. Stamped the fishes. Added the sentiment. The stamps are from Stampin' up, Paper Source and All Night Media. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes   Time Out challenges  - see below

Woodblock Wednesday - Crocodile Thanks

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I combined this gorgeous flower stamp from Stampendous with a newly acquired crocodile by Paper Source. The die is from Penny Black. I stamped on water color paper and did some loose water coloring. The croc I stamped and cut out. Stamped one of the little flowers again and cut it out as well. I made this card as a thank you for my sister, who watered my flowers in my absence. Above you can see the wood block stamps I used. I got another crocodile stamp for my sister. What you can't see well is that I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flowers for some sparkle. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - add a sentiment Simon Says Monday challenge  - water color

Money Book

Hi Everyone, today I don't have a card - I am showing you the playbook I made for my son for Christmas. He is a teenager and only craves money to spend on computer games.... so I had some fun, too, pulling out all sorts of supplies - Die Craft dies (Santa and Moose), STAMPlorations stamps (Funky deer), Memory Box (Santa hat), Santa Gnome (Paper Source) star panel and stars (Simon Says) and my favorite little devil (Alexandra Renke) - it turns into an angel, when you amputate the tail and horns... And lots of Washi tape, of course! It was a big success! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge - anything goes Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Santa is coming to town (and he brings and nice gift ...)

Muse Christmas Vision #46

Hi Everyone, this week we have Stephanie Klauck from Round Here as guest Designer at Muse Christmas Vision and her card got me really excited! It is an amazing CAS card - it has it all - perfect layout and interest! I almost pulled out one of my deer stamps, but then I thought I should try to be a bit more original... So I used this old wood stamp from Paper Source that had been collecting a lot of dust - only used once before..... I stamped it after I sponged the green rectangle - I made myself a mask with a rectangular die - much easier than trying to get a perfect rectangle with post-it notes. I filled in the berries with a white Sharpie. Here is Stephanie's amazing card : To get some red in I added the red bow. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. No is that card exciting you as much as me? I sure hope so! Linking up with: Jingle Belles - banish holiday blues Mod Squad - use it or loose it (ancient wood stamp) Happy Stamping!

Festive Friday again

Hi Everybody,   I am still in Chicago, having a great time! I wanted to share a card with you that also fits the Festive Friday challenge - again I choose for a child - hopefully the adults appreciate it too....       The stamps are from Avocado stamps, except for the little Santa that peeks in from the side - he is by Paper Source. I colored it with Copics.      I hope your day is going as well as mine - Thanks for visiting!

Christmas Card without Christmas Stamps

Now that's a Fun Challenge hosted by the Crafty Laydee  - to make a Christmas Card without Christmas Stamps!  I went with a tree - so many stamps can be assembled into a tree, so this was really easy. I inked up Papertrey's Tiny Triangles with my Kaleidocolor ink pad. The star I made from a feather in the TAWS - Bird Brain set and the sentiment is an ancient Paper Source stamp - I also inked it up with two colors. Some Stickles to add some glitz... I am also submitting this card to the  CHNC challenge , the CHNC stamp, stamp stamp challenge  and the September Rudolph Day link

Tea Time

Cool tea cup - its from the  Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger .                                                         I used quite a few stamps here to recreate  the feel of this cup. I have listed them below. I like the result of it. The sentiment is by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday. I am also linking this card up with CAS on Sunday - Floral Fantasy And while I had all those stamps inky I decided to make a second card - but for this on e I also had the Creative Friday challenge in mind - its make your own designer paper.  Since I suck at making bows, I watched on you tube how to do that - I liked Monika's video  and I think I did okay here.... Stamps: Hero Arts Blossom Art (Cl495), Memory Box Spring Flowers Cl113, Technique Tuesday stamps, Annabelle Stamps, Paper Source stamp...

52 CCT combined with Stampin' Royalty Challenge #187

A quick card tonight - still trying to get organized after my vacation in Canada...... It was beautiful - I'll show you my pictures later.  I posted the sketch from 52 CCT below. I wanted to keep my card kind of clean and simple, so that is my take on it: And here is a close up: It sparkles a little - thanks to Stickles and Liquid pearls, but it does not show so well in the pictures. Supplies: Gnome: Paper Source, Memory Box Scribble Tree, sentiment: Rubber soul, Copics, Stickles and Liquid pearls I am also linking this card with the  Stampin' Royalty challenge - Christmas in July  and Moxie Fab - Trendy Triangles  - just for the fun of it! (Trees = Triangles!) Just tried to link up my card, but to my big dismay I missed the deadline for the Stampin' Royalty challenge.....oh well!

Two FISH cards and a FUN evening!

I had some ideas for the FISH theme at this weeks CASology challenge - and that's what I ended up creating: I used my Sea Mates set from TAWS for the first card. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. The waves I cut with Lifestyle Crafts die out of vellum. The waves are held together by a Washi tape and bakers twine. The eyes I made with glossy accents and on the whale sprout I put some glossy accents - does not really show in the picture..... --X-- Here is a new challenge to link up with:  Go visit Stempelgaudi  and link up your favorite project from last month. Although this can be hard, to pick a favorite card ....For me it is.... I love them all......(almost all) --X-- My second card I modeled after the childrens book SWIMMY by Leo Leonni - it was one of our favorites when my kids were little..... The red fish are from Paper Source, the black fish I made myself out of left over scrap from a rubber stamp s...

52 CCT

I took part in an art exhibit on Sunday with all my cards and got a lot of positive feedback. In the end I was offered the opportunity to sell my cards in an event shortly before Christmas. That got me thinking about Christmas cards.... so I scoured blog land for Christmas Challenges and found 52 CCT . This week there is a sketch challenge, that I somewhat loosely interpreted.... The card stock is really pretty - it has little sparkly specks in it - you can see this better on the close-up. The gnome/Santa is from Papersource, the die is from Memory box and the sentiment is from Stampin' up. The set is called "It's snow time" I colored the Santa with Copics and fuzzy cut it.

Fish and HELLO to 3 new members!

Again I can greet 3 new members to my blog - you make me happy!  Andrea Sylvie Kimberly  Thanks for joining and I hope you visit often and like what you see.  And here is the picture I choose for you: It is a two-ton, 13 by 11-foot marble mosaic by Hildreth Meiere, depicting Hercules sailing past the Rock of Gibraltar. It is now in the Newark Museum. The mural was composed in 1959 and was first installed in the lobby of Prudential Financial’s corporate headquarters in downtown Newark, where it remained until 1999. (The Rock of Gibraltar is Prudential’s corporate symbol.) And just for the fun of it - when you visit my new members you  can  find out why I picked this piece of art for my greeting. --X-- Dabbling in a different style..... Not sure why..... Wanted to make something different, I guess. And that's what came out of it. A fish card. I actually like fish. I enjoy watching them in an aquarium or out in nature - very...

Window Card

Here you can look into my little "aquarium".  The stamps are from Technique Tuesday - Make a Splash. I got them recently - they were nicely discounted at Ellen Hudson :). The school of fish is from Paper Source. I am submitting this to the Moxie Fab window card challenge And that 's how I made this card: I made a pencil circle on the background paper where the cut out would be. I clear embossed the fish and stamped the water plants with a Kaleidocolor ink pad. I filled a little zip lock bag with blue hairgel I stamped the front panel and sponged around the opening and then assembled the card with some foam dots.

kis! # 1: Türkis und Gelb - A Passion for Papertrey (2)

How fun! Found the first German CAS challenge   KEEP IT SIMPLE  and   A Passion for Papertrey   and could not resist to make a card for both of them! After all CAS is my favorite style, although I still struggle at times with it. And Papertrey is one of my favorite stamping companies! Here is my second card: Sorry for the two blog posts, but that is the only way I can upload both cards into the challenge as far as I know. Still so much to learn in blogland.... The numbers and sentiment are from Papertrey By the Numbers Die Collection Modern Basics Stamp Set the stamp is Papersource embellished with Stickles and perfect pearls butterfly punch : Martha Stewart

Thanks!
