Woodblock Wednesday - Heartfelt Wishes

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! I used four of them for this simple card!  I stamped the hedgie and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Added some grass and could not help myself and added the little spider - after all somebody had to make those spider webs....Trimmed the card with a scalloped edge die and used some colored paper under it (both from Funky Fossil Designs). Heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape. Here you can see all the stamps I used: Hedgie (Penny Black) Spider and grass (Stamps by Judith) sentiment (Savy Stamps) Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Woodblock Wednesday - Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! Since Christmas has passed I went with a wintery scene. Both the trees and the snowball hedgehog are from Penny Black. I did a little coloring with alcohol ink markers and some sponging on the upper left side of my card. Stamped the sentiment - unknown company. Added lots of Stickles. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Woodblock Wednesday - A Very Merry Christmas

I stamped the scripted tree (Hero Arts) and heat embossed it in white. Added lots of white splatters. Stamped the hedgehog (Penny Black) and bird (Inkadinkadoo) onto scrap paper, colored them and added them. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Emboss Resist Christmas Card

Hi Everyone, working diligently on my Christmas card pile..... I am again playing along with the  52 CCT  challenge. This weeks theme is emboss resist. Cool, have not done that in a while. Always good to be remined about old techniques. I took one of my old wooden stamps (Penny Black) and stamped with Versamark. I then shifted the stamp a tiny bit downward and stamped it again with in black. Heat embossed in clear. And then I sponged around it in blue. The clear embossed Versamark part looks kind of like snow on the branches. A neat effect. I also added water splatters to create some "snow". Stamped my favorite sentiment (Mama Elephant) and added two gems. Mounted it onto a dark blue card stock paper. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! I will love you always!

Hi Everyone, since Valentine's Day is coming up I figured I make another card for it - after all there are so many challenges with that theme - I wouldn't want to miss them.... I really wanted to ink up this sweet, quirky stamp by  Magda Polakow Stamps . And I found the prefect sentiment for it in my stash - it's an ancient one from Penny Black , albeit never used.... I used water brush pens to color the girl. Added Washi tape and and enamel dot. Happy Stamping! January Birthday

This card I made for the birthday of a friend. I first stamped the snowflakes (Inkadinkadoo, Penny Black) on the paper with a multicolored ink pad and then ran it through my Big Shot with the Fiskars snowflakes texture plate  This is a new technique for me, therefore into the Simon Says challenge  "Something New" it goes.  The sentiment is Hero Arts - Big Candles. I sponged a little on the sentiment and the borders of the card. The brads I colored with alcohol inks.

A Year in Review

I am an old copy cat.....I saw a lot of people going through their card creations of 2012 and though that is such a neat idea! My blog only exists since October, but I certainly have cards from every month. And here are my favorites from 2012: January: February: March: April: May:    June: July:   August:   September:   October: November:   December:   As you can see, I could not decide on single cards for each month, so I choose two. Oh well... Lots of pictures, I know. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed them. But regardless - I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and lots of crafting fun for 2013!!!!
