Muse: ChristmasVisions

Hi Everyone, I am your muse this month at Muse Christmas Visions ! We are into week two now, but you still have time to play along until the end of the month. I CASEd myself here - never done it, but it was fun! Here is my original inspiration card - you can see the similarities: This time a different cat (Technique Tuesday) is peeking out behind a vertical "wall". The sentiment is Mama Elephant, Santa hat: Tim Holtz Crazy Bird additions. Added two gems and Stickles I hope you all are inspired to play along. Just in case you forgot or are new to MCV: Challenge   will start at   9 am on the first Wednesday   of each month. Voting   will start at   8 am on the fourth Wednesday   of each month. Voting results  will be announced at   noon on the last day  of the month. We hope that you'll love our new format and that you'll be inspired to play along.   And if you miss our weekly format, ...

Season's Greetings

Hi Everyone, another Christmas card - I am getting them done early this year :) This card was inspired by the challenge Jen Shurkus from Creative Chick and Audrey Tokatch from Pink Originals are running on their blogs - called the coolest Card Series. What fun! The requirements are always snow, combined with something else like stencil, watercolor etc. Now this card uses both a stencil AND watercolor and SNOW - so perhaps it qualifies for both??? But I'll be putting it into the stencil category I water colored my background, stamped the crazy bird, water colored him and added snow with a Simon Says stencil. The sentiment is also Simon Says, die cut with fun foam. I am also linking up with: Christmas Card challenge  - see colors below ATSM  - Holiday Cards und More - Waldbewohner/woodland animals      The snow here is melting fast - although not on my card :) Happy Stamping!

Stamp Connection # 8

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our eights transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: Cute Critters + Christmas I bought this Purple Onion stamp last year and never used it.... time to ink it up! Colored it with pencils and added some glitter to the Santa hat. The hat is from the Crazy Birds addition. It has a good size and fits all sorts of animals. The hoppy sentiment is Stampin' up and the rest is Simon Says. Added a thin strip of PP and an enamel dot for balance. I just wanna kiss that frog - who knows what he will turn into? Crazy Bird Canvas from the Depth of my Draft Folder.....

Hi Everyone,   Thought I pull something else out of my draft folder.....   I showed two of my four little canvasses previously. You can see them HERE and HERE . And now number three:   First I gessoed, then I stamped the bird, masked it and spritzed with Dylusion spray. Colored the bird with Copics, stamped the  bubbles  and treated them with some white highlights. Lastly I added water drops to give the background more interest.   This actually was my personal favorite. I still have one in store......   I am linking up with Ryn Tanaka's November customer gallery Craft Stamper TIMI challenge - take a stamp, anything goes

CASEing Christmas with a Crazy Bird

Hi Everyone, my crazy birds wanted to come out and play with me, so I took the little timid (or sassy?) one and gave him a hat so he won't get cold in the winter scene I put him in.... I embossed the background with an embossing folder. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted and I added some Hero Arts snowflakes. Here is Mynn's fun snowman Holiday card - you can see that I kept pretty close to the original with my interpretation. I also added some puff paint to the border of my "landscape" and added Stickles to the hat. Linking up with: CASEing Christmas - see inspiration card above Twofers  - Sassy  Mod Squad challenge - anything with wings

Crazy Bird Canvas #2

Hi, guess what - my Crazy Bird obsession continues....I did not tell you I actually made 4 of those things...so here is number 2: What shall we call her - Miss Timid? She is standing in the rain - thanks to Ryn Tanaka, who is the creator of those fabulous water bubbles Same as the last one....First I gessoed, then I stamped the bird, masked it and spritzed with Dylusion spray. Colored the bird with Copics, stamped the bubbles  and treated them with some white highlights. Lastly I added water drops to give the background more interest. So this one likes the rain I think....The whole thing has a summer color scheme and that why I'll be linking this up with a couple of summer challenges, see below. I was asked to do a tutorial about how to get those droplets to really shine - I will, but in another project - I did not take any pictures while I made this.  Linking up with: Designs by Ryn   - June customer gallery Vintage Stamping Challen...

Crazy Birds Again.....

Hi Everyone, if you were expecting a card I have to disappoint you - made a little piece of "art" here on canvas with my favorite birds.... First I gessoed, then I stamped the bird, masked it and spritzed with Dylusion spray. Colored the bird, stamped some more - all other stamps besides the crazy bird are by   Ryn Tanaka - her stamps and those birds just go so well together! Added black splatters and finished it off with varnish. The whole project took a while - stuff needs to dry in between those steps. and here he is again - Mr. Dapper - I love him! Edited for more info: Its tricky to stamp on canvas, because of the give - I put the stamp on the table and put the canvas on it and then rubbed my fingers onto the stamp (through the canvas). You have to watch out and not shift anything. I gessoed the canvas first. I used Dylusion ink sprays for the background and probably distress inks and some Copics to color the bird - can't quite remem...

Crazy Bird Father's Day card

Hi Everyone, time to play with the Crazy Birds - I think they just lend themselves to be made into Father's Day cards.... I used watercolor paper and watercolors to color Mr. Crazy. Gave him a snazzy little bow-tie made with a YNS die, colored it, too and added glossy accents. Added the sentiment by Studio112 - I actually cut that sentiment out - I figured I'll never will use the stamp as it is anyhow and that was easier than masking it.... And did I mention the splatters? Linking up with: Cut it up  - Ties for Fathers Day Colour me....!  - my orange show up as red in the picture... Friday Mashup  - water color Snippets Playground  - use a snippet (bow tie) - probably the tiniest snippet ever ;) Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes Inkspirational - Purple ( as suggested by Carol) Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Fathers Day Happy Stamping!

Two Masculine Cards

Hi Everyone, I am still in Father's Dy card mood and what better to use than those funky crazy birds bu Tim Holtz. This one I dressed up with a top hat and brad glasses. The colors are from the current Male Room challenge - see below.  I used watercolor paper and water colors and of course those splatters - they have to be there... The sentiments are a combination of CASual Friday stamps and Studio G stamps. Linking up with: The Male Room Cardz 4 Guyz - Wildlife - although this bird looks rather tame to me ;) Addicted to CAS - animal       And now I have a second card to share - made them with my brand new Winnie and Walter stamps. I wanted to play in their challenges now for a long time, but had no supplies...finally Anita from My Papercraft World pushed me over the edge, I caved in and got myself some goodies :)))) All stamps are by W&W - the "wishes" sentiment is fuzzy cut and heat embossed in silver. the geo...

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our second transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements (and I really wanted to  play  with those crazy birds....) Bird(s) and Father's Day card And here is my card: First I used this die by SSS and cut the paper, but left it in place. Then took one of those  crazy Tim Holtz  birds and stamped it on water color paper. Colored it. Masked off the bird and the ABSOLUTELY and splattered in 3 colors. Added Washi tape and the sentiment stamp. Now aren't you curious what Tanja did - I for sure are -  lets go and visit her !
