Stempel Spass

Its another birthday celebration here at STAMPlorations - Monika  is celebrating here birthday today! I hope you have FUN today, party your heart out and have a great cake! Just in case the latter did not happen  - I made you one, teamie - I hope you like it! As we both are on STAMPlorations I used mainly STAMPlorations stamps for this card - the wonky cake is from the set  Its Your Day , the "celebrate" is from the Sentiment Builder: Celebrate The die cut is from Simon Says, as is the rest of the sentiment (heat embossed). The cake I stamped on watercolor paper and "sloshed" it with distress inks. Added some splatters and Paper Candi.  And I will add this card to this weeks Cutting Edge challenge , the  AAA Cards challenge  and Moxie Fab - Wonderful Word Dies as well as with I am also linking this card with my favorite challenge - the  Snippets Playground  - the black bottom panel is a snippet and Virgina's view - die cuts...

There is a new challenge out there - I am sure you all know about it by now - its called The Cutting Edge , with Jackie Rockwell as the mastermind behind it! I wanted to play and I needed a card for my Dad's 95th birthday and since I had some time today I went to work on it.... You can see it a little bit, but I used some subtly textured paper for the card base (got this from my friend Anita from My Papercraft World ) and I use it sparingly, waiting for the right occasion. And clearly, the occasion could not be any better! I used my Papertrey RainbowStripes die and partially sponged it ini orange. The numbers are Papertrey too. The balloons are Mama Elephant. The plaid on them I stamped with Hero Arts Plaid Background stamp with Delicata ink - wanted to get the textured dots form the inspiration card in. There is a brand new challenge out there created by  Jackie Rockwell - I am sure you know her - she is a dynamo when it comes to creating challenges! Its called: Right now there is a GDT search and I am trying to just squeeze in here at the last moment with this card: The challenge is to CASE a card from the inspiration cards below: As you can see I chose Amy Kollings card - at the left bottom, just because I liked it, had little time and I remembered those already put together die cuts in my snippets pile from a prior card (see HERE ). I added the flowers - also left over scraps and Paper Candi. The die cuts are Papertrey Beautiful Blooms and Rainbow Stripes. The sentiment is Paper Smooches - Sentiment sampler. And, since it involved so many snippets its going into the Snippets Playground ! And Paper Smooches has anything goes this week - I know, its only the sentiment this time......
