Stempel Spass

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements: stamping without stamps (excludes the sentiment) I took my cheap acrylic paints and brayered them onto the card. Took a cork and stamped some dots. Took a little plastic cap and stamped the circles with black gesso. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations - Hope blooms . That was fun to do and pretty fast - not counting the drying time, of course. Hi Everyone, its inspiration time at  STAMPlorations ! This card was fun to make - take a stamp, do some generational stamping, add  color accents with another stamp and a sentiment. I don't think it shows, but I also put glossy accents on the color dots.  A simple one layer card! Our guest designer for this month is going to be the amazingly creative Laura Bassen from Doublestick Heaven , who made such a wonderful card for our January release last year, that we decided to get her back and CASE her! how fun is that? Here is my CASE of Laura's card: My supplies:      Honeycomb Delight reversed Hashtag authentic Here is Laura's card : So you see I basically reversed what Laura did - I colored my background with distress inks and then smeared white embossing paste over the stencil. Added the sentiment  with foam tape, some gold string and tiny sequins. Laura made another beauty and our amazing DT has quite some inspiration to offer! Go and check it out! Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  Again our wonderful DT made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. And perhaps I can also inspire you to play along with us!  I used the flowers from  the  Blooming Buds  set. Did some no line water coloring ans masked them off. Stamped the background using  Mixed Media Grunge . The sentiment is made with the   Bold Sentiments: Hello set.  Its heat embossed and mounted with foam tape.  Added silver embroidery thread. Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  Our wonderful DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. And perhaps I can also inspire you to play along with us! This is a very simple one layer card - used the brushstroke and stamped the butterflies on it. Added the sentiment, some white accents and two enamel dots. You can make that in 5 minutes....but it took me longer than that - Had to think this trough and  decide with which color challenge I should play along, etc, etc...... I am using my new sets here: The Bee's Knees Newlyweds Extras     Bold Sentiments: Hashtag Authentic As you can see, I made the circles with the wedding ring and colored everything with watercolor. Added some heat embossed sprinkles for extra interest. That is an old wood stamp from All Night Media. Here is my card: You see I went pretty much with the inspiration picture - only sentiments in different fonts and black, red and pink! I pulled out every sentiment I had :), using STAMPlorations, Hero Arts, Recollection and Inkadinkadoo stamps...... I love the font and all those sentiments are basically timeless - you can use them over and over again. Hi, its so much fun to be part of this blog hop to thank all those wonderful people at  Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine  for their hard work and inspiration throughout the year!  Thanks Ladies - you did an amazingly fabulous job! You never cease to inspire me. Thank you so much! I am taking part in this through the  STAMPlorations  blog. Life got too busy to add myself in separately.... For both cards I used the sets  Rosebuds  and  Bold Sentiments: Hello  from STAMPlorations.  I added a black strip on the side on the card above and treated it with glossy accents. Added the black splatters. I am in love with splatters......they make any card look good. If I am not happy with what I created I either add splatters, sequins or glitter and voila - there is usually dramatic improvement!         

Unfortunately  I could not be part of the blog hop for STAMPlorations ( personal reasons ), but I did not want to be totally left out, so I made some cards to share with you.  For both cards I used the sets  Rosebuds  and  Bold Sentiments: Hello . I just love how the cards are so totally different.  The card above is made with the flower vase, stamping it sideways in rainbow colors. Added the sequins for extra interest. For the card below I used the single stem rose, masked it partially and sponged in red and yellow . The roses I colored with Copics and added some shimmer with my Wink of Stella pen. The black curved panel I added to cover up some smudges.... ooops..., but I like the way it turned out!          So hop on over to STAMPlorations and leave some comments - there are fabulous prizes to win!
