Woodblock Wednesday - Just Hoppin

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! I used a lot of them for this simple card! I first stmaped teh lilipad and masked it. Masked off a strip and bushed it in blue. Stamped the leaping for and fly. I colored them with Copics. Stamped the little frog and cut him out. Stamped the fishes. Added the sentiment. The stamps are from Stampin' up, Paper Source and All Night Media. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes   Time Out challenges  - see below

GDT for the Dream Factory Challenge - Elliot the littlest Reindeer

Hi Everyone, Today I am honored to be guest designing for the current  Traumfabrik/Dream Factory challenge . It's a challenge about  movies and the inspiration will be coming from the movie  "Elliot the littlest Reindeer" . Don't worry If you don't know the movie. Anything Christmas is fine, as long as it somewhere features a reindeer. I started with selecting a background paper. This one is from the beautiful  White Magic paper pad  from Funky Fossil Designs. I stamped the sentiment first ( Vivas las Vegas)  and added the various reindeers ( Cats on Appletrees,Stampin' up). Added a little bauble to one of the antlers and some embellishments in the upper corners (Technique Tuesday stamps). Also added a brad and some red thread as well as tiny red enamel dots to the reindeer's noses. Below is the movie poster for your inspiration. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting and perhaps you'll find some time to play along with the  Traumfabrik/D...

Fun with Halloween

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play along with  Tag along with Isa  over on Facebook - see graphic below. Here is the graphic and the requirements. I went with Halloween, a landscape card and a bunch of colors. I also have a tree, a cat and a witch.  I brushed the background with distress inks. Stamped all the stamps on it. Stamped the little witch and the cat again onto scrap paper and colored them with markers. Cut them out and added them Also added a few white accents. Mounted it onto purple cardstock. All stamps are form Stampin' up. And most are old woodblock stamps. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Dotty Spiders

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the  Day of the Month Card Club  - the theme is dots. Now I do have plenty of dotty stamps, stencils and dies, but I wanted to go a different route. So I used punches and patterned paper to create those spiders. The googly eyes add another set of dots...I go inspired for those spider by Maile Belles from Simply Stamped. For the legs I used a Stampin' up spider, but the body was not big enough, so I masked of half of the spider with Scotch tape and stamped it three times. Then I masked off the other side and used a stamp positioned to get the legs into the right spot.  Glued the spider bodies over the stamped body and added the spider heads with foam tape. Added the googly eyes. Stamped the sentiment and added a thin strip of Washi tape. Woodblock Wednesday - Etched Medallion

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I used the beautiful Etched Medallion - S5356 from Hero Arts. I colored it with alcohol ink markers. I fuzzy cut the medallion.  Found a strip of matching paper. Stamped the sentiment (Stampin' up). I used foam to mount the medallion to give it some dimension. I also added Crystal Lacquer to the center - you see a little reflection in the picture below. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Woodblock Wednesday February

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with Woodblock Wednesday from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I used an ancient and so far NBUS set from Stampin up - Just Beakcause. I bought it a loooooong time ago on Ebay. It's ancient - from 2001! I first brushed the background (distress oxides and Lavinia Elements). Stenciled the leaves ( Funky Fossil Totally Tropical ). Stamped the birds. Colored them a bit and drew in the chain. Added googly eyes. Stamped the sentiment on scrap paper, cut it in two and added it with foam tape. Linking up with: Woodblock Wednesday

Assembled everything and stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts). Added some Stickles to the roofs and trees. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! Super Quick Halloween Cards

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of super quick Halloween cards. On all cards I used the same die cut  - an ancient ghost die from Papertrey - you can't even buy it anymore. I used the cut out for the white cards. On my first card I added some Washi tape from Funky Fossil Designs . The funny glasses are from Craft Emotions The spider web on the second card is another ancient stamp from Stampin' up and the bedraggled looking spider is one of those 1$ stamps from Michaels. Even more CAS with the last card - the sentiment is again one of those  1$ stamps from Michaels. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: Dream Factory - Ghostbusters (first card) Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Halloween The Male Room  - Black and White (first card) Mod Squad - Halloween (second card) Try it on Tuesday  - Halloween  (first card)

Katzelkraft - Minuscule

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog.  This card I made for the current Traumfabrik challenge - the theme is Minuscule. I had to create this little insect scene with the humongous grass - an ancient Stampin' Up stamp to shrink those insects down to size.... If you don't know the movie you should at least watch a compilation HERE . It's definitely worth it! My Katzelkraft stamps: Les Nounounes  KTZ234,   English Quotes ktz139 (FRANCE)   Bugs and Insects   KTZ234  (USA) Stamped the grass in two different greens, although they look quite similar here. Stamped the insects . Used bleach to get rid of the grass in the insects and once it was dry colored the insects with water brush markers. Stamped the sentiment. In the end I decided to sponge a bit of green at the bottom. Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration...
