STAMPlorations CASEplorations June

Hi Everyone, come and CASE with us here at  STAMPlorations ! Our guest designer for this month is the talented Shelly from Sweet Greetings ! And sweet is her card ! A CAS beauty. And really versatile for many occasions. What a pleasure to CASE it!  Of course I had to use a bit more color......I also thought that heat embossing in gold would go well with the gold frame. And I did not get enough of those pretty tulips in this year - the perfect occasion to ink them up! I watercolored my image and added he sentiment. I die cut a few of those circles and glued them together for some dimension. Added the gold bow. My stamp supplies: Sketched Tulips , Patchwork Frenzy Our amazing DT has made quite some wonderful inspiration cards! Go and check it out! So you want to play along? Case  Shelly's card  and link it up  HERE  - you have the whole month to join in! And of course - there are prizes to win!

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day at STAMPlorations !  The DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps - STAMPlorations or otherwise.....  For this inspiration post we want you to pull out your old STAMPlorations stamps. STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #24

Hi Everyone,  we have a new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations : And here is my card: I used three stamp sets for this card:    Trendy Leaves ,  PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Squares  and  Trendy Feathers The yellow leave I stamped first and heat embossed it, since I was too lazy to make a mask.....I partially masked the square and sponged. Lastly I added the sentiment and the stitches.  This month we have Julie from Crafted by Jules  as our GDT - she is a fabulously talented card maker. Make sure you''ll stop by her blog and leave her some love. And of course our DT girls have made gorgeous cards to entice you to play along! STAMPlorations Sketch #23

Hi Everyone, we have a new sketch challenge for you at STAMPlorations ! I just love the sketches Shery comes up with- so different from other sketches that are out here in blog land.  You see I went very literal with the sketch: The stamp sets I used are some of my favorites from STAMPlorations: PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Squares  and  VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes The sentiment I did with the  SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Happy , and fuzzy cut it.            Added black splatters and some sequins. This would be a very easy card to make with a male color scheme - just use greens and blues.  Now hear on over to our blog and checkout the fabulous cards form our design team. We also have a very talented g uest designer - its Ingrid from  Ingrid's Craft corner  go and leave her some love! Our challenge ends November 14; winner will be announced November 16. See you at STAMPlorations !

Cornelia playing with Oldies, but Goodies

Hi Everyone, Cornelia is back playing with some of the older STAMPlorations sets today!  I used one of my favorite techniques - sponging and one of my favorite gadgets to make those cards - the Stamp-a-majig. So, lets get started - I masked white card stock with post it notes - I like to do this an a grid pad, to get my lines straight. I used a Kaleidocolor inkpad for this card - in my opinion you can use any kind of ink for sponging - I have used them all with similar results. I basically just pick the colors I like..... As you can see - I went with yellow and green. I stamped the little number stamp on the clear plastic sheet that comes with the Stamp-a-majig, using Versafine ink (my favorite) This way your stamping stays very exact: Next I stamped the daisy and heat embossed it with superfine WOW embossing powder - I like the detail of that powder. I then colored the daisy - also in yellow and green, but used my Brushos for th...

Hi, here is my second blog post for today - please scroll down for the House of Cards challenge post! So its time again for the new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations ! This beautiful lily stamp I also stamped on glossy card stock and popped it up with foam tape and some gold thread behind it. Stamplorations Sketch Challenge #4

Hi Everybody, today I am showing the first card I made for being officially on the Stamplorations design team!  It is a SKETCH challenge , the sketch you can see below.  I took those cute little stamps from the set  PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Squares  and stamped it first in pink and then added the hearts in a deeper shade of pink. It looked kind of flimsy, so I first tried embossing it with UTE, but was not happy with the result. Then I thought about using those clear sticker candies I have gotten a few years back basically for free, but never used them... I had some that were too large, but they can be cut easily with scissors. I used my corner chomper to round the corners. It really looks like candy....The card base I embossed using my favorite Papertrey Linen embossing plate. I love the sublte texture it achieves.  The sentiment is Stamplorations    VIGNETTE: Trendy Feathers .   I wrapped red metallic thread aroun...

Make It Monday #148 and Stamplorations

When I saw this weeks Make It Monday I first thought there is something wrong with my eyes....sorry, Dawn , but it just looked blurry to me...But then I gave it a try at home and I was thrilled to see the result! The topic is Generation Stamping with Line Images & Multiple Colors - and Dawn McVey is doing a great video about this over at  Make It Monday  with all the  explanation  you need! I did not have any Papertrey stamps that I could use with this technique, so I took the diamond from the Hero Arts set So Kind for the generational stamping. I filled them with the little diamonds from the Happy Harlequin stamp set byPapertrey. The sentiment is Papertrey -  Cutting Garden. I really love the result of it. It looks so much better in real life than on the picture. It has real dimension! And then it inspired me to make a second card: I used my brand new Stamplorations stamp sets - the generational stamping I did with th...
