Guest Designing for CASology

Hi Everyone, I am so excited to have the opportunity to be GDT at CASology ! What an honor! Take a guess - what do you think the cue word is????? You got it! I used a YNS set for this and made myself a stencil from a die. I masked the little bomb and sponged the background. Colored the bomb with Copics and added the sentiment I had a ton of fun to make this. I am sure you will have a lot of fun joining in ! Can't wait to see what you will create! Happy LOUD stamping! Linking up with: Stamp, Ink, Paper - card makers choice (I love to make one layer cards) - its their 100 challenge - congratulations - time to celebrate!

It's Snowing!

Hi Everyone, it was snowing here in NJ all day long and it is quite cold now, so what's better than playing with CASology - the theme is COLD I used an old Hero Arts stamp and my Misti (detached the rubber from  the wood block). Inked it up with different colors as you can see and added the sentiment - an even older Amuse stamp Linking up with: CASology  - Cold Snippets Playground - my snippet is the sentiment Crafty Purple Frog - don't get beaten by the winter blues Seize the Birthday - anything birthday Less is More - Ombre

Sunset over New York City

Hi Everyone, I finally found time to play with my MFT New York City die. I wanted it as soon as it came out, but of course it was out of stock. And then it was out of stock and out of stock again....but finally I was successful (gotta be persistent, right?) It had some time to get comfortable in my stash, but now is the perfect time for its debut - the CASology challenge - its sunshine. And I wanted to do something different, not just a sun with rays. I masked the sun and sponged the sky. Die cut the silhouette and mounted it onto black cardstock. Added the birds and the sentiment, which both are from STAMPlorations. Also linking up with: Mixed Media challenge - sunset

Sprout

Hi Everyone, sorry for the second post today, but I really wanted to play in this week's CASology challenge and the time is almost up.... the cue word is SPROUT. I had the perfect stamp for this (for years, literally...) and  its NBUS. So you know why I needed to play....Believe it or not, but it took me 3 tries before I was happy with it. CAS is not always easy to achieve....I think you have all been there..... The delightful bean sprout stamp is by 100 Proof Press and the sentiment is by Rubber Necker. I sponged the background, stamped the sprout and colored it with a Faber Castell Marker. Added the black splatters for extra interest and some white gel pen accents. Also linking up with: Double D - yellow

Muse Christmas Vision #35 and CASology

Hi Everyone, I just LOVE being on the DT for Muse Christmas vision ! Makes me get my Christmas cards done real early! This year I will NOT  - repeat will NOT struggle to get those cards done! Perhaps you also want to eliminate stress that way? So easy to play along, especially when the Muse cards are so enticing! This weeks inspiration is from the talented Chris Blagrave . I went with the gold outlines, the green fill and little red accents. Those pretty die cuts are by Memory Box and the sentiment is an ancient, but NBUS Inkadinkadoo stamp. Here is Chriss' pretty card:    ...and mine again. different angle. I was wondering if I should have used textured paper as background....who knows... And now a very different card - can't stay too serious, not with LAUGH as a cue word over at CASology . This is my second card - not often that I feel the "need" to participate twice ;) I used this funny face stamp set by Your Next Stamp, made...

Laugh

Hi Everyone, the current cue word at CASology is LAUGH - and clearly I need that. Took my Skipping Stones Designs stamp set and finally inked it up. Its a little hard to read what the speech bubbles say, so I give you a magnified view: The bunny on the left says: "My butt hurts" - the bunny on the right answers "What?" Added Washi tape. In case you did not find my card funny: Have a great day!

Clear for CASology

Hi Everyone, I came up with an idea for the current CASology challenge - the cue word is CLEAR.  I used dies by Ellen Hudson and die cut into dark grey card stock. Die cut the diamond again in silver glitter paper, fun foam and added acetate between the fun foam and glitter paper. Pieced it into the opening. Added  the "you" , splatters and Washi tape. I used neon pink card stock for the inside of my card. not sure if you really can see on the picture that my diamond is perfectly clear (and not pink)..... Also linking up with: Mod Squad challenge - Love is in the Air Uniko Studio - anything goes with option of love That CLEARLY was FUN!

Simple Birthday Card

Hi Everyone, I am playing with  CASology  today, the theme is "Simple". I like that! Here is my simple birthday card: Took that adorable elephant from Lil Inkers and stamped him on the from of my card. Took another one and stamped him into the inside.  Added flowers, the hat and the sentiments (all the same set) and added the honeycomb balloon (I had that in my stash literally forever....NBUS...). added Perfect Pearls toenails :)   And then I decided on some Washi tape along the left front. Easy peasy, takes almost no time at all to make it and it makes me smile just looking at it! Also linking up with: Stamping Royalty  - Washi Tape Seize the Birthday  - anything birthday Naughty or Nice - Lets be silly Simon Says Wednesday challenge - something new (new stamp set and honeycomb paper never used before)   Keep Stamping!

Two Cards, Two Challenges

Hi Everyone, my first card I made for the CASE this Sketch challenge - after an enthusiastic encouragement by Michele Ferguson ... after all I had the perfect sentiment for this one.... and oldie by Stampin' up. Sponged my background and added some Bokeh. The little bells are by Mama Elephant. Added lots of sequins and the little bell on that silver string.  And since sponging is my favorite technique I will also add this to this months HLS CAS challenge - favorite technique. The second card I made for CASology , the theme is TOY. The toy is the unicycle - I used to ride one in my former life and my son can ride one, too. The stamps are ancient, too and is by Stamping Ground, I believe....The word life I just hand wrote in. Colored everything with Copics and added black splatters. Also linking up with: Inkspirational - bah humbug! Anything but Christmas    Are you done with your Christmas cards, yet? I...

Oh Deer!

Hi my Friends,   I am not back to card making yet, but got the "brilliant " idea to search my draft folder for suitable material, since I can use my tablet, although I am still banned from the computer..... So I dug out this card, it conveniently fits the Inkspirational challenge , you can see the picture below. Sorry for the poor photo. Last year, when I made this card I didn't yet have a light box.     .    I don't remember the company from the deer stamp. It is an ancient stamp and back then I trough out the wrapper....the strip of PP is  a little left over strip by the Renke Manufaktur. The die cut leaves are Impression Obsession.       Also linking up with: Jingle Belles - Holiday leftovers (I guess it qualifies double, since not only did I use a small strip of paper, but the card is also leftover from last year ....) 4 Crafty Chicks - inspired by a Christmas song (Rudolph the red nosed...
