May Your Season Sparkle

Hi Everyone, I am back to make some Christmas cards. I hope you are not getting tired of them. I am playing along with 52CCT - it's a sketch this time.  I used a background paper from Funky Fossil Designs. The Christmas window die and whittle animals are from Poppy Stamps. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions - it's heat embossed. I also added tiny Stickles dots- everything is always better with glitter, right? I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - sketch Peace on Earth  - anything Christmas The Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge   - anything Christmas Merry Little Christmas  - anything Christmas

Embossed Christmas Card Trio

Hi Everyone, I was having fun with an embossing folder I bought a long time ago and so far have not used. Besides that I needed to use those two dies again - there can't be a year without them. I actually intended to play in the Christmas Kickstart challenge with my first card, but then I discovered that it requires stamping, oh well. Plenty of other challenges around to throw in this card. I could have added a sentiment, but I didn't want to. Clearly not necessary. The embossing folder is from Mundart Stempel - a Swiss company. The fun Santa and reindeer are from Dixi Crafts. I inked up the embossing folder with a brayer and ran it through my Big Shot. My blogging friend Coni from Which Craft?   reminded me about his technique. Its fun and works like a charm. I made the background panel the same way. the die cuts are by Poppy Dies. I used shimmer paper in black for my last card. the sentiment is by Dylusions stamps. Trimmed teh panel and added Washi tape on the si...

Muse Christmas Vision #69

Hi Everyone, have you seen the new  Muse Christmas Vision  challenge picture by  Kimberly Wiener ? So pretty and modern! Of course I had to play along. And I NEED many more Christmas cards - I sold half of my stash recently, so now I am in dire need for more... Here is her beautiful card: You can easily see how I got inspired: the black deer turned into an angel, the red JOY got converted into a bauble (Poppy Stamps), etc...The JOY is letters by Papertrey , the little stars are by Simon Says. If you are curious, where this little angel is from - I got it flown in from Germany from my blogging friend Elisabeth and it is by Alexandra Renke - her stamp shop is simply amazing. One day I will go there in person with a fat wallet in tow.... Wait - you are gonna say, this is not an angel and you are right, its a cute little devil after some cosmetic surgery ;) So, there are so many ways to CASE this - I am sure you'll find your own u...

Butterfly Note

Hi Everyone, I have been playing around with my alcohol inks. I made this panel using purples an d blue and was not so happy with how it looked, but I thought It would be perfect under that pretty Poppy Stamp die cut. I won that die cut from Poppy Stamps a little while ago by playing in their challenge - THANK YOU Poppy Stamps, I love it! The sentiment is an old set from Papertrey. The paper under it is from one of those envelopes you get in the mail - you may want to check out their insides - sometimes its really pretty! I mounted the sentiment with foam tape. I also added more little butterflies - those are by Memory Box and some sequins. I love how this turned out - alcohol inks = really cool! Linking up with: Poppy Stamps Challenge - fly away with me Cut it up - anything goes Craft Barn  - butterflies Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!

Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies June Challenge

Hi Everyone, i am back with a card for the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies June Challenge!  As the challenge says - ANYTHING is possible, just use your dies! This card I made with a left over negative die cut from Poppy Dies I kept in my stash basically forever.... Thanks to that trick with the Glad Press'n Seal I learned form Jennifer McGuire it was not that difficult to transfer all those fiddly little pieces.... The Birthday die is by Simon Says and the happy stamp is by HLS - the birthday set. Added some sequins. So come on and play along - that's what you can win: Happy Die Cutting!

Happy 4th Birthday!

Hi Everyone, I have been dropping followers like crazy - I hope its due to this odd google blogger thing that only lets you follow if you have a google account....but who knows - perhaps those people left me for different reasons... how sad. I treasure you, my dear followers, each and all of you :) I have a fun card I made for a little girl who is going to turn 4 really soon and I got inspired by the Seven Hills Craft Blog colors - the ones with the chili peppers, see below. Since the linky will be closing while I'll be sleeping I have to post this card today, so no posting tomorrow (probably..) The film strip die is by Poppy Stamps and the funny cat is by Waffle Flower. I inked her up with my treasured Kaleidocolor ink pad. The balloon 4 is by Avery Elle. I think she is going to like her card! Also linking up with: Seize the Birthday - no topping for me Simon Says Wednesday challenge - anything goes Snippets Playground - use a snippet (ball...

Curing the Blues again

Hi, just a quick post - it's late already..... I am again playing in Taheera's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge ....In case you don't know she is celebrating with Winnie &Walter and there is a gift certificate you could win. Can't let that pass by without trying ;)..... I used Avery Elle (the dots) and Neat&Tangled stamps (sentiment) for this card. The die cut feather is by Poppystamps and the little hearts are a die by Simon Says - used glitter paper for that.    This card was really quick to make - I just agonized about how to position everything and some other stuff that I decided against, so you don't see it. Here is that fabulous inspiration picture - hard to resist - right? Do you see that feather in that pine cone? I wanted to make a card suitable for Valentine's day, so I bypassed that pine cone.... Happy Stamping everyone!

Spotlight on Trendy Feathers

Hi, its Cornelia here today,  playing with trendy feathers from STAMPlorations! And that's how this card came together: My supplies: I die cut the Poppy fluffy feather from white cardstock. Inked up the feathers and stamped around the opening, masking off the top part Stamped the sentiment onto the die cut, cut 5 more feathers and glued them together. Still needed more definition so I sponged around the edges. Assembles the card after adding a silk ribbon to the feather and some sequins.   You like it? I do. Now in retrospect you may ask why I bothered cutting out the feather first? Well, because I originally had something else in mind, but then things took  it own course and that was what I ended up with.... I usually have a vague idea of what I'm going to do and then  I see where it takes me. How do  you make your cards? More structured? I'd be interested to know.  M...
