iStencil

Hi Everyone,  I have some exciting news!!!! I now work with iStencils to design cards for them! I was over the moon, when they asked me to do that!!!  I absolutely love stencils and their stencils particularly appeal to me. I have that soft spot for graphic design and there is an abundance of graphic stencils at their site.  You may have seen my last card I made with an iStencil, if not you can see it HERE . This is a different one that I got on my shopping spree with them...... I finally got over my embossing paste fear and mixed myself some color. I did not completely mix the colors together, I liked the different shades I got. I used that gorgeous iStencil and overlaid it with a heart mask, that I cut out of a large post it note. Smeared the paste over it and let it dry. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00002-r-sc Splattered some metallic blue spray ink. Let it dry..... I then added the LOVE die cut, heat embossed the Y...

Guest Designing at the Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge

Hi Everyone -  I am so happy and proud to be guest designer for the Craft Stamper magazine January Take it Make it challenge ! I got that honor with winning the November challenge with THIS card, where I also won this fabulous stamp set from  Artistic Stamper  (see picture below), which I used to create my two inspiration cards. This months theme is Anything Goes with stamps (no digis)- don't we all LOVE this?  In both cards I stamped the background with the wavy stamp from this stamp set in various colors. I then used those wonderful Raindrop stamps from Ryn Tanaka and stamped them over the wavy lines. I used a light color wash to color the water drops and added white highlights to make them more 3-D.  The sentiment stamps are by STAMPlorations - for the pink card I used  Bloom Sketches  and for the green card I used  Artful Flutters I am linking my card with Ryn's customer creation challenge - anything with Ryn stamps ...

This is my second post today - please scroll down (or click HERE ) for the House of Cards post there is a challenge starting there today too! --- I just love the STAMPlorations sketches - they are always a little different from what else is out there in blog land and make you think differently. This sketch I really liked. I used the  using   Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments  set here. I first stamped the daisy with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I then took a square punch and some recycled card stock to use as a stencil and sponged in yellow. I rotated the stencil and masked off the yellow square and sponged the remaining triangle in orange and repeated it once more to sponge in pink. I outlined the squares with a black pen to give it more definition and stamped the sentiment. Splattered black and yellow all over the card and added the enamel dots.  Here is the sketch: Our team has fabulous inspiration cards for you , so head o...

STAMPlorations Spotlight on Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments

Hi, its Cornelia here! Today I want to explore some options with the  Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments set from STAMPlorations. I have already played around with it HERE  and HERE . And if you are familiar with the STAMPlorations blog you have seen my teamies using it as well.  And that is what I want to share with you today: I used glossy paper and stamped with Staz-on ink and then used Marvy markers to color the images. I have that patterned paper at home, basically forever. It was the first patterned paper I ever bought. And I rarely ever use any.....but those stamps reminded me about some of those papers and wanted to incorporate it into a card somehow. I have tried them in the past, but found the pattern to overpowering and the colors weird......So I took some colored vellum and overlaid it onto the paper. I glued the vellum to the PP where the black panel is, so you won't see the glue. The string on top hold it in place there as well ...
