You have seen this little devil before - disguised as an angel HERE and HERE , but today I show him in its "natural" beauty ;) I added Fine Tec gold water color splatters and the star is a die cut by Lil' Inkers. I think I have seen something like that somewhere, but I can't remember where - I tried to find it, but no luck....... I water colored the images, used an EK success punch for the speech bubbles, which I mounted with foam tape. Googly eyes - of course.... The sentiment I pieced together with letters from  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year  and the question mark is from the set  Sugar Rush         So, if you are up for it - CASE my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. The InLinkz gallery  will be open until the 5th of June - gives you plenty of time! One w...

Two Very different Cards!

Hi Everyone, I have two cards for you today. For the first one I pulled out my cute YNS stamps  and I am playing in their latest color challenge - you have to pick at least 3 colors. I settled for green, yellow and a tiny blue ink splot. Made a puddle of water on water color paper and then filled it in with water colors. Waited for it to dry and then stamped that sassy snake on it. Added some definition with a white Sharpie and some splatters, as well as the sentiment.  This is a one layer card - I love to make those. Rounded the corners.  Linking up with: Pink Elephant challenge  - Anything goes Your Next Stamp Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes And now my second card - very different and not my usual style. but I wanted to use my Ryn Tanaka stamps again - thy need to be inked up every once in a while..... This one I have had for a long time and actually never used.... I also wanted to play in the WOW embossing...

Muse #111

Hi Everyone, I took a little blogging break - too many other things to do, but now I am back. I wanted to play in this weeks  Muse challenge , where the creative Kristie Goulet from Kreative Kristie  (so true, her blog title) made this interesting card - you'll see it below. Here is my take on it: I took watercolor paper and water colored the red and blue strip. Added the butterfly (Memory Box) and the love sentiment (Papertrey Wet Paint) Her you see Kristies beautiful card: And another view of my interpretation: Happy stamping!

STAMPlorations Inspiration March 9

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day at  STAMPlorations !  The DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps - STAMPlorations or otherwise.....  I am playing with the set  Trendy Butterflies . I inked them up with Gesso - trying the Gesso resist technique. Not sure if I am happy with it. I like my images crisp, not smudgy.... sloshed some water color around the butterflies - the resist worked only partially.....Stamped the sentiments onto watercolor paper - to have the same colored paper and colored the large word with the same colors as the watercolor background. You can see it if you look carefully.... So, if you are up for it - CASE my card or any other card and link it up over at STAMPlorations. The InLinkz gallery  will be open until the 5th of April - givse you plenty of time! One winner will be randomly drawn from all entries to win a $15 gift certificate or their choice of any 2 ARTplorations stencils. ...

Spotlight on Water Color Emboss Resist with STAMPlorations!

Hi, Cornelia here today, I want to share a water color emboss resist technique with you, using two of the sentiment builder sets - Thank You and Happy :                   The technique I used varies a bit and I have a tutorial for you below. For the Happy Birthday card I also used those circles form the Holiday Artsy set  and some sequins, as you can see. For the Thank You card I heat embossed oink vellum with that pretty little flower from the Vignette Eclectic Florals  and added distress Stickles to the center. I made a collage to not bore you with too many images.... You see my supplies - water color paper, Versamark, clear embossing powder and my ancient watercolors that I used when I was in school.....nothing fancy.... After clear embossing the sentiment I took a brush and applied some water color around the letters and misted them with water, using a mini mister. See fist pic...
